Why didn’t California state route 170 get extended south of where it currently ends at the Us 101/California state route 134 interchange in North Hollywood? La Cienega would be less congested if California state route 170 continued through Beverly, hills and Culver City before ending at the current interstate 405/ La Cienega Blvd interchange near Inglewood. Why wasn’t California state route 170 extended south of the 134/101 interchange near studio city?

I didn't know the Catskills Mountains had a soundtrack, but you found. So zen, so chill, so full of movement and perfect energy that matches the cadence of the hills. Other youtubers with wailing guitars, obnoxious vocals and classic rock should take note. As always, absolute perfection in musical choice. (not to mention such a gem of vid, always wondered what this part of non-I86 looked like!) ALSO: Happy Canada Day! :)

Wow I totally forgot how poor the lane discipline really is in Alberta. Everyone else there should watch how you pass and take notes. Memories from when I was an expat there and there were still construction zones all over the place for the ring road.

A video avoiding 407 would be more useful. Harmony Rd to 401, 401 to 427 then QEW to 403 to Main St East Hamilton. 407 is the longer route and toll from Oshawa to the 403 cut off in Burlington is true highway robbery. Shortest route Hamilton to Oshawa is 401 west to Don Valley Pkwy, then Gardner Expressway to QEW the 403 to Hamilton . Notice how empty 407 is from 401 to 403 . Alternate routes are just as quick but busier. I go to that junction on 9th Line and Steeles often from Hamilton without using 407.

I think that some viewers like seeing footage of the 407 because of its high cost they may not otherwise get to experience driving along it.

Honestly, the drive on I-5 between San Diego & the Orange county is probably one of my favorite scretch of highway in southern California, after Tejon pass, CA-91 between Riverside & Anaheim & ofc, Cajon pass. Those are all the highways I plan to drive on if I ever go to southern California. Also, did you ever experienced an earthquake when you went to California, as California has a very high seismic activity since it passes below the infamous San Andreas Fault.

For all of my trips to California, I have never felt an earthquake. When the traffic is moving, driving in California is a lot of fun. Thanks for the comment.

Great drive! did you know that some country has a state-owned (government-owend) company rather than highway authority that owns or maintains freeway/expressway/motorway? Here's the list: South Korea: Korea Expressway Corporation Japan: -West Nippon Expressway Company -East Nippon Expressway Company -Central Nippon Expressway Company All three of them were part of Japan Highway Public Corporation (1956-2005) before split of three companies into privatization. Metropolitan Expressway Company Limited (Shuto Expressway network in Tokyo): 49.99% Italy: ANAS Slovenia: Družba za avtoceste v Republiki Sloveniji, DARS (Motorway Company in the Republic of Slovenia) Croatia: Hrvatske autoceste (Croatian Motorways Ltd), Hrvatske ceste (Croatian roads) for other roads Romania: Compania Națională de Administrare a Infrastructurii Rutier (National Road Infrastructure Administration Company), Compania Națională de Autostrăzi și Drumuri Naționale din România (The National Company of Highways and National Roads from Romania) for other roads including expressways

Rode and eventually drove on this freeway (we called it Bayshore) all the time growing up in South San Francisco and Millbrae 1956-1972. My dad loved it, since he was a fast driver. By the time I married and moved to San Jose 1972-1975 the 280 interstate was finished and it was a way nicer road than that battered and noisy 101!

The 412 off ramp to the 401 has now become such a massive bottleneck on the 401. You essentially have the Lake Ridge ramp and the 412 ramp both merging into a 3 lane highway. Something really needs to be done about it now that 412 is free. Will it? probably not. Great drive and thanks for sharing AP.

The westbound 401 through the 412 is almost as bad as the eastbound 401 through Salem. I've lost all hope for Toronto traffic. I think it's pretty much just always going to be terrible.
