What other eye-related topics would you like me to talk about? 👀

This was very informative and was presented in a way such that the content was easy to understand. Great job!! Can you discuss at what point one should consider high index lenses both from negative sphere and positive sphere prescriptions.

Thanks a lot! And yeah I'll make a video about that 😁

thanks for the info, does aspheric lenses reduce the minification of the eye for a -2.75 myopia, thanks
@Vision-Vibes3 ай бұрын
You're welcome! And yeah aspheric lenses can reduce the distortions that make your eyes look a different size

@@Vision-Vibes thanks for the answer, i'm curious to know if there is an aspheric and higher index lenses for my level of myopia, maybe you could do a video about this where you show the pros and cons between spheric and aspheric and higher index lenses

@aladdincom5069 good call, that'd probably be a helpful comparison for people

this video refreshed my knowledge. i got talk more about aspheric lenses. what is better aspheric or HI 1.74 for high rx + or - thank you good job!!!!!!! love it
@Vision-Vibes Жыл бұрын
Thank you! They'd both be thinner than normal lenses (around 10-11% thinner), but aspheric lenses would also benefit from correcting your vision errors a little bit better

For low sph power but high cylindercial power is this recommended ?
@Vision-Vibes5 ай бұрын
No, for that you're actually better off when conventional spherical lenses

@@Vision-VibesWhy? Would really appreciate your answer
@Vision-Vibes3 ай бұрын
@cesarebaroli9610 back when I first responded, I had found a source from an eye doctor recommending spherical lenses, but looking more into it now it looks like aspheric lenses would actually be a great option Conventional spherical lenses may introduce more peripheral distortions, especially for people with astigmatism, since they curve more uniformly. But aspheric lenses maintain better clarity across the entire lens and would avoid those distortions Aspheric lenses for astigmatism would also prevent one direction of the lenses from getting super thick So aspheric lenses for astigmatism would still be bent differently in different directions, but the curves in those directions would have more of a funky aspheric shape instead of a continuous curve

Hi man, I’m kinda late to this, but as someone with a very high prescription, would it make any difference for me to get double aspherical or just aspherical? Would it make a difference?
@Vision-VibesАй бұрын
Yeah while double aspheric lenses may be more expensive, they do have some pros for high prescriptions. They can further reduce distortion and peripheral aberrations, make your lenses even thinner and lighter lens compared to single-aspheric designs, improve visual clarity across the entire lens surface, and minimize the "bug-eye" or "tiny-eye" effect

What material are they made from? Is it cr39 with something extra done to it? Thankyou.
@Vision-Vibes8 ай бұрын
They can actually be made out of all of the different materials that normal glasses are made out of, like CR39 or polycarbonate

Hi there. Very informative video. My wife has a prescription that has a difference of 4 dioptres between eyes. Would these lenses help balance how the size of eyes appear whilst wearing glasses (improving the distortion shown for the weaker -4.25 short-sighted eye)? Thanks for your help.
@Vision-Vibes3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the flatter curve of aspheric lenses reduces that magnification effect on your eyes, so her two eyes would look closer to the same size
@howardsend65893 ай бұрын
@ Thanks for the quick reply. Excuse my daft follow up question, but does the lens reduce ‘minification’ (if that is even a word)? Will eyes not look as small with these lenses? Thanks in advance.
@Vision-Vibes3 ай бұрын
@howardsend6589 no problem! And yes, aspheric glasses lenses reduce that minification effect compared to normal spherical lenses. So your eyes will look closer to their real size

What are the double aspherical prescription lenses by Nikon?
@Vision-Vibes4 ай бұрын
They use an even more complicated shape to reduce some of the distortions on the edges of your field of view that may be present using normal aspheric lenses. That comes at the tradeoff of a slightly higher cost though

@@Vision-Vibes Price quote US$1200 for Nikon 1.74 lenses made in Philippines. The made in Japan version costs about US$1700 for a pair (-11). What is the cost in USA?

Is it worth it the double aspherical lenses? In my county I have an offer and the double aspherical are 2x the price of the asherical? Is the vision and the avoidance of aberration so great?
@robinarman730010 ай бұрын
Apparently my optician has been hooking me up with aspherical lenses since my first pair with no additional cost (it's a more generic brand CR39 tho). If I go to other places without getting the aspherical lenses would it be a noticeable difference, particularly in peripheral? My worst eye is only -1.75 with -1 cyl
@Vision-Vibes10 ай бұрын
Awesome! You'd probably notice a slight difference in the shape of the lenses. And even if it's hard for you to visually tell a difference, the aspheric lenses could be better for things like preventing eye strain
