mabye no, try remembering the dark squids series. In second episode of that series inkura got Spider DNA and if I'm not mistaken Spider is part human to a small degree , If we assume that this type of vampire only infect the octoling of the inkling DNA. Inkura could be in control but can't turn into a squid because her inkling DNA because it has been infected and instead mabye she can turn into a bat.
