I am so grateful for your videos. My 12-year old was recently diagnosed with Aspergers. I can't tell you how much your vidoes have helped me and his teachers. Thank you for your honesty. I've been educated by you -- priceless information. I'll be a better mom to my son because of what I'm learning from your YT channel. You are a blessing.

Music calms me down a lot as well, and I sleep with my fan on every night. Helps me fall asleep at night.

Hello and thank you so much for your video blogs. I am just now trying to learn a little more about aspergers. It appears that it comes in varying degrees and everyone is different yet have things in common. You have done an amazing job communicating and explaining your experience. Your family must be so proud of you. I will add you to my favorites because I want to continue to learn as much as I can and you are a good teacher :o) P.s. I love Elmo too.

for shower trouble, try turning the water temperature down slowly until your body is at room temperature or colder at skin level before you get out. i actually feel sweaty for some odd reason when i get out of a nice warm shower. but if i actually brace myself and turn the water to cold (i suggest for you to change the temperature slowly) immediately, i can comfortably get out of the shower.

I have Asperger's but my day is similar to an NT. I get up in the morning, hit the bus, work 8 hours, then take the bus home, or to my activities like sport practices, hang around a few hours at home, then go to bed. I only have the cold air issue that you mentioned during the coldest days of winter. I enjoy eating and meals, and I prefer almost dead silence when I sleep. I do not have that hearing issue that you said and I can withstand moderately loud environments (outside where I live).

Hi, I love your videos and I'm very inspired by them. My nephew is just diagnosed with autism (they're not sure if it is Aspergers yet or not). Could you please let us know how old you were when you were diagnosed and whether you missed any developmental milestones (like walking late or talking late etc)? I would really appreciate you taking the time to answer. Many thanks from New Zealand.

My parents try really hard to help me with joint compressions and tight hugs, "tacos" (rolling up in a blanket) and swinging. I take just the average classes :) I have a younger brother yes. Thanks!

Under the other video of yours I asked you about music but I think I already know the answer ;) Unlike some other sounds music calms you down. And I must say it actually doesn't suprise me. I don't like loud sounds, they tire me. I hate the radio my mum keeps on all day long and the cars and buses rushing outside my window. I just can't get used to them. But music, often loud rock music, is something I wouldn't be able to exist without =] So in this area I understand you perfectly well :)

He is in 8th - last Friday was a perfect example of how they COULD HAVE helped him. The pep rally is this huge multi-media event and he said it was so painful and he just wanted to cry and run out, but he knew they would force him to stay. Friday night, there was a dance. I was SHOCKED when he said he'd like to try and go and hang out with a few of his friends. We got to the door - music was BANGING out of it... he said, "Nope - can we go home?" We went home.

The only thing I can say about schooling is that I feel the socialization of it is so important to my son. We have a very small SD (about 60 to a graduating class) and he has known those kids his whole life. I find it critical to his development to be there with people who at least know him and gain whatever cues he can as to reactions/conversation/etc. He has asked many times for homeschooling, but I just can't do it. My son's y/t s/n is 333puggles333 fyi.

@FairytalesDreams Having Asperger's I wasn't delayed. I actually talked VERY early. 6 months old my first word wasn't your usually dada mama thing. My first word was "light"! And at 6 months I was pointing to lights going 'ight 'ight! (That was a sign right away I was different lol).. I didn't walk until 14 months which is a tad delayed but not much.

not at the christian schools that i went to. they took one look at me at around the end of grade 10 after seeing me have a few problems with finishing tests on time and suggested that i take extra time during lunch or flex periods. and technically its better to ignore bullies because if what they are doing doesnt work they will tend to move to someone who the bullying does work on.

I think sensory overload is a very interesting factor of asbergers. Though I don't understand how the coldness of getting out of a bath can be so intense, I hate that freezing coldness too so I can relate in a way. Also, I don't mean to offend you if I do in any way, but has anyone ever mistaken you for a cute boy? That's great that you love music btw.

My son actually wound up so frustrated last Friday he punched another kid in the stomach. That kid pestered him all day - calling him deranged and so on. At the end of the day, the kid was bugging him again and my son had had it. I don't advocate violence, but when the school won't help you - and the kids just keep going - you can't always tuck your head and hide. He's lucky he didn't get in trouble. What sux is - the other kid wouldn't have been punished for agitating all day.

re. you say your prayers....who do you pray to? do you have set words that you pray or do you pray freestyle?
@adrimare115 жыл бұрын
He said to ignore the old laws (maybe not in those words, but Paul confirmed it later) because the Jews were trying so hard to obey all of them that they were forgetting the reason why they were obeying them and ended up sinning and treating God like a guarantee even though they repeatedly disobeyed Him. So the rules were simplified into two commandments and a few basic rules that Paul said like dont eat something sacrificed to another god and stuff like that.

Don't let anybody tell you that you NEED help (as in you have no choice) because I've learned (from personal experiance) that all you have to do is believe your able to do something such as get good grade in school. I do this and I'm in 11th grade hard classes getting straight A's without studying.

Jaydy11, what you said in the video at 0:52 that area .. about the 2 guys... it's there job. I don't remember quite what it's called, but it's illegal not going to school, so they were probably forcing you to go. I know because they did that to me right before I started homeschooling. =)

have you even read the verse? and the corinthians verse means not to be influenced by nonbelievers in the beliefs department, not kill them. and the 2 john verse i mentioned i think may be somewhere else, but it says to be kind to nonbelievers, im sure. i think it was in one of the gospels where it says "do not judge" so were not supposed to say who goes to hell or not. and those lot are not my lot. they were probably Evangelists and/or Baptists. I am Catholic with some Protestant beliefs.

inactive for 2 months?? Croc, what you don't understand is that it's not all up to me. His father would have to sign off on him getting home or cyber schooled and he will not do that. He won't even accept the child's diagnosis to believe that anything but regular, everybody-does-it-so-you-will-too school would be better for him.

His father would never sign off on it (we're divorced)... he doesn't even believe our son has ASD... he says that the psych. said it was LIKE ASD and on the spectrum, but that our son really has an authority problem. He is SO WRONG.... YOU would know from childhood there are signs. I always said I thought he was autistic, but it didn't fit... ASD fits..... Hey... are there groups for this? Do you go?? We are also in PA.

ugh, they are NOT doing what the Bible says, whatever they say. what part of love one another as yourself dont they get? and i only really started needing help in grade 10 and the teachers were really helpful in explaining things that i didnt understand. they just predicted that grade 11 and the rest of my school life would be harder and i was starting to lag in tests (and got extra time a lot anyways, they just made it official by grade 11) in grade 10. i lag on almost every or every test now.

and yet in Matthew 7:1 it says "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." i think it means that we are not supposed to be all like "you will go to hell" or people will think we are nuts or something, which is what ended up happening. and in romans, it says not to criticize people for believing something different from you. it refers as an example vegitarianism, but criticizing other religions should count under that too. why did you even go to a christian school if you are not a christian?

@adrimare115 жыл бұрын
What do the matthew verses you posted say anything bad? they just say not to pray loudly on a street corner showing off that "they are right and everone else is wrong" which is exactly what your christian school christians were doing. and the literal translations of 2 John 7 make a little more sense in saying that some deceivers entered the world and are like that. it also says in verse 12 that we should be kind to such people. and verse 9 just gives us another reason to convert nonbelievers.
@adrimare115 жыл бұрын
and the old testament verses dont count for war and killing other religions off because the old testament is just used for proving that the prophecies have been fulfilled in Jesus' coming, for the stuff in Psalms and Proverbs, and for the stuff Abraham and kids did. back then it was kill the other people or be killed yourself. and i think all unis are required by law to help if you have documentation stating that you need it.
@adrimare115 жыл бұрын
i did not mean any offense; i was just wondering... are your parents Christian? or were there absolutely no affordable schools that were not christian out there? seriously, not trying to offend. its against my religion. and at least i listen to it as i know it unlike the bullies you have met.

the jewish bible. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies for the Messiah and pretty much said to ignore the old laws and stuff and follow a summation of the ten commandments by loving God and everyone else. so the old testament does not count anymore except for the prophecies, psalms, and proverbs.
