Really great job on the build and thanks for taking the time to upload the video of your creation! I've never seen a commercially bucket with a rotation feature like you designed. There are many buckets with tilt only but not like this, looks really handy for smaller jobs around the farm and work where you don't want to tear up the ground too much moving the machine around to get in the right position.
@Sokrates668 жыл бұрын
Well, its very common feature here in Sweden to have a rototilt, almost every excavator have one. Lots of manufactures sells them, but expensive.

I was confused by the backwards steering then I realized you were technically driving in reverse. This machine is impressive!! Nice work!
@rodx55715 жыл бұрын
no he wasnt in reverse, The excavator appears to be rear steer, The reason i say this is because the pusher blade is always on front, the steering is usually either rear steer, or articulated in the center, the wheels cant turn behind the bucket or when pushing you can lose traction or ability to push. It is set up mainly like a forklift. Very cool though.
@donkmeister5 жыл бұрын
@@rodx5571 He was in reverse... you make a good point about the dozer blade during use but there are three things that show this is front steer - 1) the tow ball is affixed to the dozer blade, and you don't push a trailer, 2) the scenes where he drives up to the job, the dozer blade is at the rear 3) the rack is fitted as a front-steer vehicle (hence when he turns the wheel to the right when facing over the dozer blade, the vehicle turns left). When you can spin the superstructure by 360 degrees then front/rear steer become a little arbitrary, however it looks like he has built this so he can trundle out to the task as if it were a little car, even towing a trailer, but once he gets there he works with the blade at the rear for the reason you mentioned, and also to give a bit more stability (the central pivot is biased towards the front of the chassis).

I don't know what you do for a living but if your not a mechanical engineer I wouldn't be able to even make a guess at what you do actually do. You are a very very talented and knowledgable person. You have built an outstanding machine with the most flexibility in movement and control of the bucket. I don't think that I would go on to manufacture these as you would have to develop rollover protection for it and carry a deep insurance liability policy. But if I were you I would patent if possible and license out sell rights to the design for the control of your bucket movement techknowledgy! Well done my man WELL DONE!

You make the operation of it look like you're wearing a glove, smooth and clean operation. Nice job.

This one is best mini-excavator that there is. Sadly this is not commercially produced, as that would have so much demand for city officials and all kind construction companies. The boom length and bucket reach is great, and the bucket hydraulic head is amazingly well designed. Very good speed, in exchange for the control accuracy. It is wheeled, that makes it suitable for cities and other similar locations. If someone would start produce these, even in 5-6 per year, it could be good small business.
