HOLY SCHMOLY!!!!!!!! This thing is gonna be A BEAST!!!!!! WOW!!!! One thing: that small 'triangular' piece you needed to add so the underside of the track would clear the frame ( the piece @ 25:10 ) - don't you think it is going to cut into the track once you have tension on the track from it moving around?? even if you chamfer all it's edges, it WILL dig into the track when it's moving... IMHO you REALLY should change that into a wheel... yes it's more work but if you add it then you KNOW it's not going to dig into the track and slice it up from underneath where you won't easily see it... ALSO won't driving in reverse possibly catch on the small area of that triangle??? Maybe a wheel isn't the answer... MAYBE if you round the two top corners of the triangle AND a deep chamfer all around the top is all you need... 🤷‍♂ - - As I think about this more and more, and I look through the video, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm being overly 'dramatic' about it digging into/slicing the track and you've already thought this out and it will be JUST FINE... lol - YOU ARE THE MECHINICAL GENIUS, I'M JUST A COMPUTER NERD!!! LMAO!!! - ANYWAY.... GREAT WORK!!! I a=cannot WAIT to see what this transforms into... you come up the some of the most UNIQUE CREATIONS!!! And THANK YOU for taking us along for the ride!!! :)

It will cut, for that purpose there are warable pads that are mounted on frame of track and they "ride" on top of ridges rather than on bottom, where drive sprocket and tensioner wheel rides.

Well, i want to make one now. I do think the aluminum housing of the right angle gear box is an indicator that 3/16" - 1/4" or 5-6mm steel would be more suitable. 1/2" seems far to heavy for everything except the adjusters. The failure point shouldn't be the $2,000 gearbox and undoubtedly that gearbox is going to grenade itself long before the track assembly.

Bo nie wiem, jak to jest rozwiązane oryginalnie. 3. Czy nie prościej byłoby zastosować silnik napędzający pompę hydrauliczną i wszystko inne napędzać silnikami hydraulicznymi z napędami włącznie?

Transmission is always the problem when building something like this. Issue is having to buy whole working zero turn mover that least around here is 1K on it self regardless of condition and i'm almost certain that its transmission wont hold if you go off roading with it. Might hold nicely on the yard for light work like snowblower type of thing, but why would you make tracked vehicle on the yard when spiked tires or chains deliver same traction cheaper with less wear on expensive parts. Those tracks alone are really expensive.

Nice job, enjoyed your video. Look into seals for abrasive and dirty environments. Metal face seals is one example but there are also multi-labrynth rubber seals that have their own metal casings. Plain sealed or shielded bearings won't last long in dirt, which would be a pity for such a cool project.

as usuall beautiful work. that transmission though...will be interesting to how long it lasts. the 0 turn mower has less surface area on the tires, tracks have alot of surface area, and they are heavy. if it works though, i wanna do similiar to my crosskart, except 50 to 60 mph speed, a smaller version of Ripsaw ev4.

Unfortunately they don’t have enough torque. He will find out in short order when it comes time to take a scoop of dirt that they don’t have the power required to do the job. But that part is easily changed out and you gotta start somewhere. A real orbital motor with a built in planetary is the way to go. You can get the out of places like “surplus center” and the like.

(or truck in North American English) is a chassis or framework that carries a _*_wheelset, attached to a vehicle_*_ - a _*_modular subassembly of wheels and axles_* i dalej: _Bogies take various forms in various modes of transport. A bogie may ... be solid and in turn be suspended (as most _*_bogies of tracked vehicles_*_ are)_ Klikłem na widło bo se pomyśłałem "WHAA?! Gościu GĄSIENICĘ robi? No to niezły patan..." - a tu, panie, pizd... ee... "kicha", znaczy.
