100%! I got married at 18 and I feel like I got lucky. My husband is my best friend and I know I would’ve married him in the end regardless but sometimes I wish there wasn’t that pressure to get married and we could just be a little wild together and just date. 18 is far too young for marriage and 21 is far too young to have kids.(that’s when I had my first)

I need to point out that regardless of other peoples intentions with our children, we should recognize that they are other humans and not our accessories, they’re going to grow into adults with preferences, including how much or how little they share about their own lives. Even if there weren’t predators and weirdos online, your child may grow up to resent anything being shared online about their childhood. Best to not so we can preserve it being their choice to be present online when they’re older. Great podcast 😊

I used to always wonder why people would move back home too, but then one of my best friends got pregnant while she was living in Florida and moved back to Illinois before she gave birth because it really does take a village. its so hard to raise kids if you don't have a village nearby! my parents live an hour away and my sister is only 30 min away but even that feels like my husband and I are kind of on our own with our child.

This isn’t hate, just genuinely something I remembered and thought about! I remember a ton of people asked Aspyn on KZbin and social media why they thought they should get married so young instead of waiting a few years. They felt she might regret getting married that young later. It made her angry and defensive and she’d say, “that’s just the culture here!” I wonder what her thoughts are, if any, on that now. 13:00 honestly let's say 8-10 years ago things were SO different. Just thinking about so many beauty gurus like Aspen who were 14 and had their own accounts on KZbin and posted pics etc, that just would be different nowadays... Also, other related topic on this, I just bought something of Ebay Kleinanzeigen (maybe something similar to Craigslist, not sure) and I was shit scared to meet with this person - it was an 18 year old girl and she was the nicest person ever. Ten years ago, 18 year old me just went to some random Turkish guys home and sat down in his living room when I bought his iPhone 5s off him and I did not even think that this could be a weird idea (absolutely nothing happened and he was super friendly) 😂 Times just changed dramatically.
