And you can ask anyone that has periods who has experienced both and almost everyone I have ever talked to says that cramps are far worse. Also cramps aren't just located in one area. They are the most intense in the pelvis and lower back but your muscles will contract and relax all over your body. So you can experience pain down into your legs, in your upper back, in your ribs and even in your chest. In fact chest pain in both the muscle tissue and at the surface skin level is extremely common during and a little before the bleeding begins. Also these pain can start as soon as a week before, though usually it isnt as strong, and they get stronger as bleeding begins. Also bleeding can last anywhere between 3 days-7days on average. And the heavier the flow usually the more painful it is. So honestly depending on what has happened in your life many of them will experience both.

As a woman who had pretty mild period pains and who only occasionally curls up in a ball when it gets really bad, I'd be SO down to try one of these to see how accurate it is! I know that a lot of women go through a ton of pain (if it's debilitating, keep trying to see doctors because that is NOT normal) so I'd like to see if its actually accurate and not just a "haha feel pain, funny man" thing

@@Loxer150 many things can play into why some get more pain than other's even if they're related. some women have a higher build-up of prostaglandins, which means they experience stronger contractions. ot's mostly genetical and it can differ between siblings because maybe one sister has it more similar to their mother, and the other sister experiences are similar to the women on their father's side. do note that pain is objective and some have higher pain tollerance, for all you know it could be the same pain.

@@xxonspotlight ironically, women are less at risk of dying of heart attacks BECAUSE of our periods. In men, their bodies can build up too much iron, which contributes to heart attacks. Women bleed monthly, in essence, natural "blood letting" which cleans out any excess iron and reduces out heart attack risk. Of course it's not as simple as iron-heart attack, there's a complex web of hormones, organs, and compounds at play, but this is one part. If we had periods every day that probably wouldn't be too healthy for us, but not having them at all wouldn't be great either.

I have Endometriosis and PCOS so yeah...mine were debilitating before I went on birth control. I've been hospitalized three times because I passed out due to the pain. I just actually talked to my doctor about getting a hysterectomy because of my issues. I'm infertile anyways so might as well get rid of my chance at cancer. The messed up thing is that endometriosis is prominent on my dad's side of the family while PCOS is on my mom's side. I got the f**k you double whammy and got both. 😮‍💨
