A review of the lightweight, and easy to attach mudguard that is aimed at gravel bikes.
NOTE - The timer on the fitting is 1/2 speed for some reason, and it should be 28 seconds and not 14 - still quick and impressive.
Full review, with comparisons against no mudguard, and a similar style to previous ass saver mudguards.
The Win Wing is very lightweight at 70 grams. Plenty colours are available, with prices starting from €25, with direct shipping to the UK that was very simple.
Total cost delivered for the mudguard colour tested was £27.55. The guards are priced and sold in €.
This was produced fully independently, with no company involvement.

I think these are awesome Matt, I picked one up a month or so ago and been using it on every ride since. It's wet and sloppy mud in the Peak District at the moment and the Win Wing is keeping my backside dry and pretty damn clean, much better than boil in the bag waterproof shorts, a couple of bits of tape on the seat stays as markers help to get a consistent fit if switching between bikes.

I’ve been using an asssaver detour rear for the last 2 years and I can strongly recommend. You sort of ram in in the triangle made by the seat stays and brake bridge. Up front I can recommend the Gravelhugger from Mudhugger. Both very effective on my local South Wales ‘gravel’!

Great review. Did you ever find anything for the front?

Thank you. If your tyre is 42mm or less, there is the Mudhugger, and that's ok. But above that the choice is limited. You might find the Crud Front XL works, depending on the fork.

For mudguard or defender Is it supposed to be close or far from the wheel? What is the best position and angle for it?
@MattPage
@MattPage 10 ай бұрын
The angle is based on the chainstay angle of the bike, and the mudguard needs to be set close to the wheel.

I was just looking into the zefal shield g50 as a set. Can handle up to 50mm and not too pricey

The reviews I have seen don't make them sound easy or quick to fit.

I’ve got that win wing and it’s quite good to be honest…………glasses also a good idea 😏

I find glasses are not so good in winter, especially when it is dark. My road bike and mountain bikes have excellent guards, but the gravel bike has always suffered - just the front to fix now!

That Win Wing seems like it's waving a lot when riding. Not so stiff.

That is how it is designed, and it doesn't affect the performance.

Good spot. I am not sure why that has happened, as the counter was through the editing software and I should have checked. Either way, its quick to fit and that was only the 4th time I had ever fitted it.
