Edward Kingston I beleive him as it's makes no sense to suddenly use chemical weapons when not only is the war going his way, but America is cosying up with his ally Russia. I would guess that Trump needed to distance himself from increasing evidence that his cronies were close to Putin. It's a show, which is why 100's million of dollars was wasted on a cruise attack that Russia was warned about. And of course the Russians all walked of the attack site without warning the Syrians.😉

Just to reiterate, Assad's arguments: 1. Why would Assad initiate this attack now when he knows that Syria and Russia are advancing in their fight to wipe out the terrorists? 2. Why would assad attack civilians when he's clearly using syrian forces to take out the terrorists Another point, Why would Assad attack his people knowing that the US and Israel would retaliate by bombing his military bases, making them defenceless against terrorists. This only leaves the logical conclusion that obviously the terrorists knew they were losing and so they wanted to advance themselves by launching a chemical attack against civilians. Therefore, the rebels and terrorist supporters committed this attack for their own political gains.

All I'm saying is, I find it interesting how Trump's stance during his campaign for president was that the U.S shouldn't get involved in the Syrian War, and he critiqued Obama for doing so. Most Conservatives agreed with him. Now he and his administration are critiquing Obama and other predecessors for not taking enough action and has decided to get the U.S involved again. This has to be the fourth or fifth time he has done this with any global issue as president, I can't stand him. He always flip flops his script, and then the administration expects people not to worry about what he has said or done in the past. With that mentality, I would have to trust every president that has ever existed, every politician, good or bad. Trump never knows what he is doing. We gave weapons to the rebels, initially (During the Obama administration and before that as well). We supported the terrorists. The truth is, both sides of the civil war are killing their own people over there. The situation over there is too complex. There are too many different groups fighting each other, and unfortunately, the U.S has done nothing but made it worse. I don't know what our government was thinking for aiding rebels with weaponry and thinking that would have been a simple solution to seeing another country become democratic and move into utilizing their natural resources. And Assad is not innocent either, this situation blew up because he gave his people false hope and lied to them for a change that wouldn't come, and now instead of containing the issue, he encourages this complexity and civil warfare to distract the people from overthrowing him. Morally, I would love to rescue all of those innocent people that are suffering in Syria. I would also love to rescue those innocent people that are brainwashed in North Korea, and underprivileged in Venezuela. But the situation is never that simple, and if it means sacrificing the security and stability of our nation, and allies, then, unfortunately, all we could do is hope that change will come on its own. But at this point, wasting our time and money to send our soldiers and use our weaponry over there to destroy a few weapons facilities is stupid and pointless. We should invest that money and weaponry to making our national defense, and allies' national defense, as strong as ever, so we can keep threats from opposing countries out of our view and soil. But our soldiers don't deserve to die for this.

Assad needs to do a world tour or at least call on some american radio stations. Many suspect this but because of the nature of technology, it is dang hard to prove. In this case he could go a long way simply saying this on as many open air waves as possible.
