Because we're brainwashed by the tv and force fed mind altering chemicals that make us more apathetic and addicted to their products. Easier to control with soft minds. Don't worry, once we catch up things will go quickly and this election is helping to show just how effed up our system is.

This is one of the most important videos I've seen on the Syria war from TYT yet. It dispels the notion that "they hate us for our freedoms", it reveals the hypocritical foreign policy of the US, it reveals Sunni and Shiite tensions in the region and even explains Russian involvement with the pipeline business. Yemen fits in there as well, but is arguably an easier story.

Debbie Marquis Russia's control over the European energy market is really interesting. In Europe energy independence means independence from Russia (and partly the middle east), which is geopolitically really important. Just look at how Europe behaved in the Ukraine affair.. that was mostly fear of their dependency on Russia. It's more interesting however how and that the US is meddling in Syria and how they are balancing different priorities there. Basically they're against everybody: Russia for its power grab (or defense of it's energy market) ISIS as terrorists and Assad. It's another complicated proxy war that creates a lot of unnecessary suffering.

James did not say Iran is Sunni. He has said Iran wanted to help Arab world also to have democracy, which is accurate, they did want. (By the way, even now Iran, for example, supports Palestine, even though they are not Shia, as well as Syria, which is a secular state. Iranian policies were never as sectarian as of Wahhabi/Salafi tyrannies such as the Kindgom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar).

Except he makes a huge mistake when talking about the rulers of Saudi Arabia, the are Wahhabi muslims - this sect believes in rule through violence and war. They were put in power by the British. They want the Sunni's and Shia to kill each other leaving just them and their hardline version of Islam. This is how the CIA have been able to to get the Saudi King to go along with all of the troubles we have seen and those being discussed in this documentary. Non of this is a secret, all of it is common knowledge and freely available to read up on.

This is a very dangerous generalisation which these two have made about sunnis. What they have failed, and very badly failed at acknowledging, is that the saudis, qatar, ISIS, al qaeda arent main stream sunnis. They are wahabbis or Daesh/ Takfiris (one who proclaims that even other muslims are disbelievers on the slightest of differences). The sunnis are by and large the biggest body of muslims in the world and wahabbis, who like to call themselves as sunnis, are just a small portion of them.

Wahabism, a wholesale invention of british military intelligence. Koranic literalist sect, essentially, an attempt to create "protestant", nationalist version of islam. *It is both*: Clinton mails, published this spring, had analysis that openly talked about how destroying Syria would greatly help Israel's interests in breaking "Iran-Syria-Lebanon axis". For the same reason Israel is pretty fine with the jihadists in Syria and was even videodocumented to help them near the border, giving them coverage and providing medical treatment. Alas, there is a unity between Wahhabi tyrannies and Israel on some matters.
@johnalexander651

The war is too interconnected for anybody to be saying "plain and simple". Israel may have something to gain from Syria although it's still unsure if it's to support a weakened Assad government or a total overhaul by Islamic jihadists. The main reason Israel hasn't interfered outside of small Hezbollah engagements.

Not all Iranians identify as Persian, and some of them (a minority) are Arab. Iran get's grouped in with the Arab world because it's a middle eastern country that's mostly muslim, and that's been influenced geopolitically very similarly to it's neighbours such as Afghanistan and Iraq. The distinction between Persians and Arabs to most of the world is like the distinction between French and Breton.... it exists but most people are unaware and don't really care.

+Mikael Konst I followed the war from the very start...not from CNN, not from Alex Jones, not from RT, not from the American administration, not from George Soros, but from actual KZbin videos the Syrian people uploaded (now all removed by YT because of community standards,) I know how it started, I know when and how it went "sideways", I know when and how it could easily have been prevented from escalating and I know when all of the afore public figures started getting amnesia and twisting the story to cover up their fears, because a simple grass roots protest was threatening their geo-political interests. I'm not going to tell you what I witnessed on cell phone video from people who lived through it from the start, because it's a waste of time,

It was: Assad peacefully ruled in Syria for many years, as well as seen protests for months without shooting people until the mysterious case *in March of 2011 when 4 (four) "peaceful protesters" and 7 (seven) policemen were shot*. It is not confirmed clearly in any way, but the typical pattern to ignite a war is to start shooting at both sides from under cover. Similar things has happened before and later. Also, as per leaks, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has started installing Al-Qaeda cells in Syria since as early as 2004. This fact could lead us to a guess on who could be the executors of the job of starting the war. Additionally, from Clinton mails we know that Google and StateDep were collaborating on "Arab Spring" social media tracking/manipulating software that focused on potential defectors/actisists; it was later transferred to Al Jazeera, a PR arm of yet another Wahhabi/Salafist tyranny: Qatar. Coincidentally, Qatar now arms and finances its own Al-Qaeda clone in Syria: Ahrar al-Sham.

There are probably multiple reasons for our interest in Syria. To me, what makes the most sense is the PetroDollar - basically, we require EVERY COUNTRY to sell oil for dollars. This makes all countries have to keep large amounts of dollars for these transactions, which props up the US dollar and keeps the US banks very happy. Saddam Hussein (Iraq) started selling oil on the euro - boom, we invaded. Gaddafi was trying to sell oil for gold - boom, we invaded. Iran does not sell oil on the US dollar - we can't invade as they are too big, but think of all the politicians you've heard demonizing Iran. Now Syria was selling oil on the Euro - boom, we invade. www.dailykos.com/story/2013/9/8/1237500/-The-PetroDollar-Why-Syria

I realy don't like TYT but I gave them thumps up for this video. The wars in Georgia and Ukraine are also related to gas and pipelines, that west wants to make bringing gas from Azerbaizan.

Being honest, I do not usually like anything from TYT, but I will admit that they hit this one on the head.

Much better than TYT - straight information without all the political garbage. I'm non-partisan and non-political. Americans don't need to be "taught" or "persuaded". We have common sense and can sniff out dishonest information.
