Assam's indigenous communities are in real danger. Their very survival is at stake. Assam Accord was signed. There are provisions for safeguarding indigenous communities, but unfortunately no sincere effort has been observed for its implementation. In contrast, the survivality on the indigenous communities are decreasing day by day. Illegal influx is happening non stop. Constitutional safeguarding measures must be framed as per Assam Accord.

their population projection is wrong. There is huge child marriage in these districts. I'm from Barpeta, whenever I go to my village, I see a new child marriage. It angers me. Govt should press tougher on education, only thing that can bring positive change on birth control, politics won't change much. I don't there are illegal immigrants coming from Bangladesh or not but there is child marriage, more child than a Ideal family should have, mostly observed in iliterate families. It is a ground/report/insights you might like to have a look.
