Guwahati is the only metropolitan area of North-East. That's why it's very big, crowdy and busy. Most of the educational institutions, medicals, commercial places, dealers, industries are here. You'll find almost everything here which you won't find in rest of North-East India. Still it's peaceful compared to megacities like Delhi or Mumbai. I hope you'll have a great time here!

We were in Guwahati in April. Nice city. Better was the National Park and safaris (waiting for your take on the elephant.) Are you heading up to Arunachal Pradesh as well. We had snow in April. Now should be lovely.

@@arvindgoudar1586 Actually traffic laws are pretty strict in Assam. Even both rider and pillion have to wear helmet in Assam or else have to pay a heavy fine. In my home, we have helmets for every family members 😅
