The good thing of this is that unlike AC3, the Abstergo Challenges don't count for the 100%. In fact the things that do count for the 100% are: -Complete the main missions with a 100% synchronization. -Complete the side missions(Templar hunts, naval and assassin contracts.) -Complete all the side activities in all places.(Get the shanties, animus fragments, loot all the boxes, synch all the viewpoints and so on.) -Complete all the main activities(conquer all the forts, defeat all the legendary ships, get all the mayan stones, find all the buried chests and so on.)

I thought milling was glitched, but it turns out you need to click on the piece you want to remove before the move will process. Once that unintuitive thing was out of the way the game got a lot easier and I no longer had to win by trapping all enemy pieces. *As an aside,* Merelles has a fast CPU and can beat expert most of the time when the slider's set to 7.

Never thought about tackling a game strategy like this... it's a shame this stupid ass game cannot be beaten even doing this which is pretty much cheating. I had to use the easy 9 men's guy because the other's kept going stalemate after all pieces were placed. Then the website froze when the AssCreed game had 4 pieces left. I had to finish the game myself and luckily I won... I don't want to see a mini-game in a game ever fucking again.

The game is pretty simple, but where there is simplicity, there is challenge. If you are playing against a AI computer like in Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, you "Never" win. There is a reason for this. When Ubisoft made this game, they made an absolute, complete scheme for all the possible moves the player can make. What I'm saying is that they made to where they can beat you no matter what moves or technique you use. If you think this in a war perspective way, they got the tech, the commanders, the weapons, and the soldiers. What do you have? Nothing. There is no interaction with the computer so you can't trick them and you can't mislead your opponent. So basically, they planned it all out before you even think of trying to win.

It is true that Nine Men's Morris is a solved game (just like checkers). This means that there exists an AI that is able to never lose. A draw can always be forced. But I'm pretty sure the Assassin's Creed AI is not that perfect. The poster of this video proved this.

I have it on ps4. You not allowed to win. gain all 4 corners an you will sacrafice two pieces but you will be able to take two of the computers pieces. When im about to win they just simply will not let me move a certain piece

Y'know, the thing that always bothered me about Connor sitting down to play board games is that... well... he's a freaking ASSASSIN. Strong, ferocious, tough as nails, armed to the teeth, can slaughter 20 men like nothing. Unless he has to remain undetected, in which case he can sneak past 20 men like nothing. Why would he ever try to make money like *this*? And when (not if) he does lose, why not just beat up the guy and take the money back? Even if he calls for the guards, are they really going to do any better than the 5,000 guards Connor's carved a new one to this point? Even more egregious with Edward Kenway the pirate, who by *definition* doesn't give a crap about the rules. Heck, he should beat the guy up and take his money before a single piece is on the board. Baffling addition to the series.

ok, on a second attempt, i can confirm that the AI on www.smartlittlegames.com/ninemensmorris beats the AC4 AI (2 out of 2 games for me). i think it's because it prioritizes more the prevention of the opponent's valid moves. it's a little ironic that that site worked, since it was actually the first one i came across, but dismissed it because i couldn't set the difficulty level ...

All Nine Men's Norris Games SHOULD end in a tie, unless the opponent makes a mistake. The AC AI is going to make a mistake at least sometimes in order to be fair to actual experts of the game.

I cracked the opening, y’all! You play first, then take the bottom left, then the top right. Now you block his triplets until eventually you’ll have a guaranteed double move. Now from there, it’s on you to make the right choices, still takes a bit of luck, but I beat expert twice in 3 games with no AI. Just have to be VERY careful to not let him block your moves or make a triplet from there. That opening works EVERY TIME!

Oh my fucking gosh. I felt like punching my tv after playing this. But this www.smartlittlegames.com/ninemensmorris worked like magic. These are the parameters that worked for me(AI thinking time=15 seconds): In AC4 let the AI move 1st; Repeat that move in the web site version; Repeat the website AI's move in AC4; just keep repeating these 3 steps in order until you win. Good luck, but you won't need it since this website works perfectly.

***** That's pretty weird. I haven't run into anything like that. There is a gamefaqs message board for AC4 royal convoys and online events. You'll know you found the right one when there are people asking you to add them on PSN in order to help with the event sharing. After I added a few people as friends, I found two royal convoys and a white whale. I think the title of the board was AC4 Royal Convoys, White Whales, and Social Chests. This may be wrong, so just look for the one where people are giving their PSN account names.

The TWMuseums link doesn't connect to the game anymore, and the Smart Little Games link only seems to work on the lowest difficulty. Once I moved to intermediate and above, the two AIs kept running into draw after draw.

After couple of 0 bet matches. I began to adapt my strategy. My strategy is to place circles in cunning positions. I take some of his circles during the placements so I have the advantage then. Now it is matter of time to take the rest of ai's circles during the match. Now don't make this mistake. Have the ai's circles of 4. So ai doesn't have free move mode. Don't let ai have path where ai can do 3 in lines. Now just squash the ai's circles where ai no longer can move it's circles and u will win. That's how it is. Play, lose and learn.

To anyone that still needs help in 2018. Use the smartlittlegames website link. Put the CPU in "4. Advanced", do not, I repeat, DO NOT choose "5. Expert". You win 95% of the time like this. Why the CPU in expert from that website doesnt work, you may wonder, well, its too perfect robot like, just like the AC CPU one. The problem is that it will try to outsmart with every move the obtuse AC cpu, and instead of sometimes going for an easy opening (ive seen times when the cpu could actually go for a kill, and instead made a different move), tries to think 2 or 3 moves ahead. Becuase both CPU are obtuse, most of the time the match will draw. Lowering its difficulty will make the CPU more human like, it will still be really good playing and thinking ahead, but if the website sees a possible kill in this difficulty it will always go for it, and because the AC cpu has sometimes opening (o not make it completely perfect) this advanced one will take advatage of that.

lol I laugh when people complain the AI is too strong for them to beat. Thats the whole point of it being an AI with Expert difficulty. Clearly the AI programming was a success. Now if only NPC AI could mimic our abilities and think for themselves to truly make games lifelike. This will be the future.
