Thomas The Dank Engine In terms of an actual stealth game, Assassin Creed One is superior to two, like I said the rest of the games just felt like generic adventure games that are so common.
@noelmakarth156
@noelmakarth156 8 жыл бұрын
***** That and the linear level design that offered no freedom and the character Ezio is just a Mr Perfect cardboard cutout. Also that fact that stealth was essentially turned into a liability where it was just easier and faster to just charge into an area and kill everyone with a couple of counters and then the forced parkour and linear on rails segments. The Characters in the modern era lose a lot of depth and realism to them too, Lucy still is now a cliche lethal martial arts bimbo and warren Vidic is just a generic Saturday morning cartoon villain.

even though ac 2 was clearly the better game in terms of gameplay, I actually think that the story, without the obvious repetitiveness of the game, made more sense. It was actually just about templars and assassin's. I hope empire is a return to something like this.

@SlowWinterNuts

Ironically enough, the first AC game wasn't as focused on the Creed as the others are, as the premise of the first game was mainly about being manipulated by a Templar to kill off his competition
@skubi_chrupki
@skubi_chrupki 5 жыл бұрын
Slow Winter Nuts It was the only one about the true creed, well apart from revelations. Ezio Trilogy was more like using assasins title to fight certain enemies
@SlowWinterNuts
@SlowWinterNuts 5 жыл бұрын
@@skubi_chrupki There was never really a "true" creed though, merely different interpretations of it. Throughout history in the AC universe, each game sheds light on how different eras and different sects of Assassins and Templars analyze and interpret their own mantras, sometimes the Assassins behave (depending on your ethics) similar to the "bad guy" and the Templars the "good guy", and at different places and periods of time, vice versa. Bayek started the brotherhood and the majority of its tenants, but everyone after that interprets it in their own ways. There's even people like Altaïr whom radically changed the preexisting brotherhood into a more modern form (and the 15th century Spanish Assassins not quite getting the memo it seems 😅). It's quite the allegory to real life culture, belief, and religions changing and reforming over time based upon different interpretations.
@skubi_chrupki
@skubi_chrupki 5 жыл бұрын
I guess you're right It's just Ac1/bloodlines were first ac games I have ever played so maybe that's how I interpretate how Assasin's clan should look like. Kind of monastery, but focused on peace, not caring about religion and stuff formerly, when someone had said assasin's creed first thing that came to was hidden blade and white hoodies right? After that it became... personal? Families and stuff. Until Ezio started to chase Altair past, which for me is an epic solution for connecting those 2 worlds Who is Bayek btw?
@SlowWinterNuts
@SlowWinterNuts 5 жыл бұрын
@@skubi_chrupki Bayek was the main protagonist of Assassin's Creed Origins. An Egyptian Medjay (imagine a sheriff in charge of protecting the entirety of Egypt) in 49 B.C. Egypt. Through a series of events, Bayek becomes involved in a conspiracy involving a mysterious order (a precursor to the Templars) that has been oppressing Egypt, and through killing each member, he uncovers more and more of the plot. Through Bayek's efforts in protecting Egypt and helping its fellow people as he fights against oppression, he gathers followers, people who believe in him (occasionally Bayek would even inspirationally rant about how they just need some sort of brotherhood to protect the people against the corrupt), and by the end of the game, he finally forms the Brotherhood as how we recognize it today, but back then, they named themselves after the Egyptian God Amun, they called themselves the Hidden Ones. The game is actually pretty great in terms of gameplay, story, and lore. And it does _extremely_ well in how it connects with AC1 and how it's all explained, what with the leap of faith, marking your targets with feathers, the hidden blade, how it all started, and of course, it also explains why the Assassins in AC1 perform the ritual of cutting off their ring finger. And also Amunet (she showed up as a statue in Monterigionni Villa in AC2) shows up in this game and in the story dlc: The Hidden Ones. Oh and Darius (first appeared in AC2 as a statue, he's the first recorded wielder of the hidden blade) gets a brief reference too when you get the hidden blade.

I have only played AC 1 through Revelations but I always thought that AC 1 had a certain epic feel to it that the others never achieved, at least for me. Especially when you first arrived at a city and saw how massive they looked, for example the first time you rode up the road on your horse while this theme was playing and Jerusalem was slowly revealed to you until you saw it in full and it gave you that holy shit moment.

I loved the Cinematic and Immersive appeal this game has... When you're walking in crowds it feels like you're in that period. When you're heading to another City it feels like you Journeyed for a long time. And my g*d, the music is as unique as it gets. AC needs to return to this, not the period but the quality and care that was taken developing this game so it could launch an entire franchise, and be able to stand on its own. I played this game after AC II, and it surprised me.

I bet 99% of this game's haters don't even know air assassination and vaulting exists in this game. Edit: Recently I played the game again, fell in love with it once more. Stealth assassinations are so fun to do, but also hard. I believe easiest stealth assassination is Sibrand.

Fun Fact. The first Assassin's Creed games takes place in the Holy Lands in 1191 during The Third Crusade. The reason for this setting is due to Assassin's Creed being a spirituall successor to the Prince of Persia series, which has a similar setting to the first Assassin's Creed game.

When I think of the life of Altair, i cry every time. He wasted his whole life just to protect the apple from misuse. His parents were murdered when he was a child. His one child was murdered and His only love Maria was also murdered in front of him. Only his son Darim was with him throughout his life. He did not enjoy his life. He never realized what actually peace is. What he saw is only war, war and war. Altair, I hope you are currently resting in peace.
