With a movie with that much jaw dropping scenes, I don't understand why people keep saying that this movie was "average". For me this movie is good way to tell everyone why we are so amazed by this game.

Geraldo Perdigão As one of the biggest fanboys of the series: The movie lacks character. For instance Aguilars sidechick dying should have been emotional and a stab to the heart. Instead its like: "Whatever". Also wheter Aguliar nor his present day counterpart show any character whatsoever. The other assassins that fled from Abstergo with present-day-whatshisface are even worse. So there black guy and Asia Chick, yeah man those 2 are some of ACs most iconic characters! Look I love every single AC Game, read most of the comics and am an avid Reader of the comics being published right now, but oh man that movie was the first time I walked out of a cinema dissapointed... I love the AC characters and the worlds they live in! Alot! Stern and slightly arrogant Altair during the crusade. Charming and lovable Family-man Ezio in beautiful Italy. Brooding and out for Revenge Connor during the cold and brutal American Revolution. No fucks given and out for booty Kenway in the breathtaking carribean! Young and ignorant Arno in bloody but wonderful revolutionary france! By the books Assassin Evie and goofy Brother Jacob in Grim and Dirty Victorian England! I could recount all of them and their locations! Because they show character traits and we got to explore the places where we would spend the next few hours! The movie should have let us explore whichever city in spain Aguilar was, and Aguilar himself aswell! But it rather focused on good looking action and setpieces which isnt the only thing AC should have to offer!

I liked the movie especially the battle scenes and the second regression in specific but there are a lot of problems with the story . Ioved Aguilar's story and his undeclared love to Maria. But I didn't like the modern day story , the Animus and the Abstergo facility . I wished the whole movie was about the basic story of Aguilar and Maria protecting the Apple of Eden . Also , I hated The killing of Maria .

The problem with this movie was they spent to much time in the modern present day, and not enough time reliving Aguilar's mission. The movie should have been 80% during the Spanish Inquisition and all the political turmoil of that period and really developed Aguilar's character, then the final 20-30 minutes in the modern day with the search of the Apple of Eden. And the definitely shouldn't have kept blurring the fight scenes with the modern day side by side flashes of Cal in the animus fighting. That broke the immersion of the scene. The only way to do AC live action properly is to do a series, so you can building on both the past and present day political corruption and each season be a different historical time setting.

Fun fact: Aguilar is four years older than Ezio, and he has personally met Ezio once, but the movie doesn't show it, but the smartphone game Assassin's Creed Rebellion does. And Aguilar originally didn't want to become an assassin, he joined the Brotherhood because his parents were executed during the Spanish Inquisition.

I've watched this 3 times in a row it's so good! This is everything the movie should have been. And I love your use of the eagle's cry, especially @1:52 when Aguilar does the leap of faith.

I thought the movie nailed the feeling of the games, but the biggest thing I felt was missing was character development. Like... I didn't care much about any of the characters. Sadly, not even the main protagonist. Decent movie though. Maybe my opinion will change after rewatched it.

Hay que admitir, esta pelicula nos debuelve a los primeros assassin's creed de la saga con guiños a los que les siguieron, pero la pelicula fue epica, no solo por que le hace honor a los primeros juegos, si no tambien por como desarrollaron la historia y como nos brindaron un universo aparte de los juegos

I hate critics. I think they just love their jobs as complainers. I didn't see this in theaters, but I did see it on DVD, and I *LOVED* it! High-octane, fast-paced fun, an air of mystery on certain subjects, and a various shades of gray over "right/wrong" choices. (Not to mention it shares the same canon as the games.)

Aguilar should have been the focus not the other way around. Assassins Creeds strength lies in the time periods and the ancestors and not the modern day. I hope Ubisoft revisits Aguilar in a future game. A game about Aguilar in the spanish inquisition could be amazing.

I would've preferred an entire movie in the past. Leave out all the present day bullshit. The present day stuff can work better in the game when there's far more time, but when you trying to cram two different plots into one movie under 2 and a half hours, it just doesn't work.

El apellido no es Nerha, es un error de la traduccion del español al ingles. El apellido real es "de Nerja". Esto es debido a que antiguamente en España ciertos apellidos tienen su origen en los pueblos de donde provienen las personas. Por esto en algun momento alguien de Nerja, provincia de Málaga, que tuviese alguna relevancia por cualquier razon, y la gente supiese a que pueblo pertenecia, se le colocaba de sobrenombre el de la ciudad o pueblo. En este caso Nerja. En mi caso, uno de mis apellidos es Burgos, capital de provincia del mismo nombre en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. Algo parecido ocurrió con ciertos apellidos como Rodríguez. En estos casos, Rodríguez, Martinez, la terminacion -ez para formar el apellido se usaba como referencia al padre del individuo. Ejemplo: Jose Rodríguez. Esta persona, José, es hijo de Rodrigo. En el caso del apellido Martínez, seria hijo de Martín. Me turba un poco que siendo nombres o apellidos de origen hispano (de España), el idioma anglosajón no haya hecho una traducción literal de estos y aparezcan tantos videos y titulos con Nerja escrito con H y no con J.
