I love how down to earth and normal this commentary is. Nowadays Ubi tries way too hard to make their E3 demos epic, when all they SHOULD do is just show the game. Jade sounded very genuine and sounded like she was having fun, too. All around one of the best commented gameplay demos Ubisoft ever did.

Yeah it sounds like an actual commentary and not a script. Raymond kind of stumbles over her words a bit and just explains or clarifies what's going on in the video like she's never seen this particular walkthrough. It's quite unique by today's standards.

This video wasn't an E3 demo though. This was just something Ubisoft recorded to show the gameplay with a dev narrating/explaining it, and Ubisoft still does that all the time (including when you wrote that comment years ago)

Seeing these demo videos really show some nostalgia for those that have seen 'em, for me I've never seen these til now and to me this really showed how Ubisoft really cared for their games and their fans and how they really commentated on what their game was.

I remember being in eleventh grade and we were at lunch looking through our Game Informer magazines and seeing Assassin’s Creed and thinking how badass it looked. We couldn’t wait for it to come out. Played it for weeks once it released.

I did the same thing when I was in high school. My friends would sit either at lunch or study hall and look through the Gameinformer magazines I'd get in the mail. Saw Assassin's Creed for the first time in that magazine and when I went home I looked up the trailer. This started a life long love of the series. Unfortunately....the recent games have lost it's spark. Desmond was critical for the series. Killing him off killed my interest in the modern day timeline.

Very interesting how this games are getting easier and easier. For example the air assassination: in the first game it requires a special timing to push 2 buttons, but in AC2 and the newer ones it only requires you to press one button.

For all of modern day Ubisoft's braggadocio about how 'open ended' the new RPG Assassin's Creed titles supposedly are, take a look at how much more freeform, and open ended the gameplay is in this demo, and remember: this was the FIRST game in the franchise.

Classic Assassin's Creed. One major problem I have with Assassin's Creed III, and all the other one's too come to think of it, is that you very rarely need to escape after killing a major target; you just cut to the loading screen and the next sequence. Part of being an Assassin is escaping once you've struck. The way the guards used to practically follow you to the ends of the earth made me feel like I'd struck a major blow to the enemy if because I was worth chasing down.

There have been rumors that it'll be on multiple discs for the 360. Ubisoft said they've been having trouble fitting the whole game on one 9 gigabyte disc. They said they have something to announce but they didn't specify what they meant.

It's the little details that make the game, man. You can't play it online at all, as far as we know. It comes out midle next month. The PC version is delayed until early 2008.

Think you just need to press the assassinate button when you get to him. Fun thing to do when your free running on rooftops is sprint towards an archer and press the assassinate button. I have spent many hours just leaping from rooftop to rooftop looking for archers to leap on.

Agreed with Hakuo142. To assassinate doesn't necessarily mean you have to do a stealth kill. As you might've heard her say, they could've just as well ran in with their sword in hand, but that probably wouldn't be the greatest idea. Still an option though. So while a stealth is probably the preferred way to assassinate, it isn't the only option.

do you make it a habit to look on rooftops for people getting killed? and with the fight, i do know a little swordsmanship, and it can be really easy to defeat someone if you know what your doing, plus fighting is tiring so it better to hang back and wait so you dont get accidently hit by your comrades sword

i just finished this mission...hmm...the only tip i can give you is using that trick where you climb a high tower where an eagle and press Y or triangle, which ever version you have, until you see a blinking "body" on your radar.

heres a simplified version for you Ubisoft can't fit all the data for assassins creed onto a DVD-9(8gb disc) but there is no trouble with the 50gb blu-ray disc in September 2007 the DVD Forum approved the triple layer 51GB HD DVD-ROM disc. As of 2007, the 51 GB HD DVD disc has only a preliminary specification, and no titles have been released(from wikipedia)
