I remember this guy with a cardboard and popsicle stick double action tutorial, now it is more compact and more reliable, keep it up, you're doing great bro

Sammme bro! I see you're an original fan of his aswell. I remember seeing his cardboard one over 10 years ago when he first made it, and replicated it at home thanks to him. Now the man is making it even better! Never knew that's possible lol.

I have been a big fan of your work for nearly 10 years now and with every new video/hidden blade you release, my mind is blown every time! You always come up with new, brilliant ways of making them function that is unlike anything we've seen before! The amount of ingenuity and dedication you have put into your craft over the years is truly remarkable and an inspiration to many. Keep up the amazing work!

They look so good now. I would love to see a new plastic or metal version of the Pivot Blade from AC3. I remember an old video of yours where you made one from wood.

I adore the lock system design. Still not personally a fan of the gears, but i can say their function is absolutely exceptional. If there were any way to have the exterior case track be a viable visual for the blade, like the Basim hidden blade has that metal piece that moved along the track as the blade itself extends, if there was any way to get that to work with this design i'd have no complaints. Have you done any more designs where the rear lock system is used in conjuction with the push scissor system for blade extension, while at the same time using your dual blade extension system? I think that could allow for a much longer blade to case ratio. But that's just how i'm envisioning it. I really wish i could work on hidden blades like you man. Love these.

He does have a scissor hidden blade man ,and it is dual extension exacly like you want , watch his older videos called altair hidden blade
@voltrainer Жыл бұрын
@@steamlegend1909 i've seen them. But they haven't been done in the same way all as one streamlined piece. He has all the mechanics of a perfect hidden blade design, i just want to see them fully come together. His Altair hidden blade is fantastic tho, but i have minor quibbles. I've seen all his hidden blade designs. He could made fully game accurate hiddem blades with the mechanics he's devised and he's streamlined them even further. The version of the Altair hidden blade insode the Basim case with the visible exterior slide would be perfection. The main reason i recommend replacing the gear version with the other dual tier blade is primarily if the geared blade is used on anything that is wet, it will effectively scoop stuff back inside the gears and gunk it up super fast

Im curious, as someone who puts a lot of thought into the hidden blade mechanisms, and has been for a long time, do you have any theories about how to make a hidden blade that doesnt need the string (the "arm muscle tensing release" that is how in-game modern blades) work?
@CWGminer Жыл бұрын
You could have a button (about 1 - 2 cm diameter) on the underside of the casing facing your arm, but you would have to position the blade very precisely on your arm so that flexing a muscle would press it properly. Doing so would require extremely precise calibration of the mechanism for each individual user, and might be difficult or impossible to use for people with an arm shape or amount of subcutaneous fat that deviates too much in any direction from whoever the blade is designed for.
@Stone-Fisher Жыл бұрын
See, I'd think it'd have something to do with the straps. Flexing the forearm would expand a mechanism on the strap, acting as the release. I'm thinking the muscle that expands when you flex your elbow would expand the top strap.

I got a question: is this model going to be injection molded like the other one that you're selling or just 3D printed?
@s0u1r3aver8 Жыл бұрын
Seeing this blade design, I seriously need to consider saving more money to buy it, would it be accompanied with a 3 mode variant too or just the otf?
@steamlegend1909 Жыл бұрын
don't you see it's a completely different design , the OTF design will stop working when you block the blade .This blade doesn't FAIL 😂
@s0u1r3aver8 Жыл бұрын
@@steamlegend1909 I just call it OTF because it's easier to relate it too. It still acts like previous hidden blade variations like Ammnra's for example. String still needs to be pulled to extend or retract the blade and the blade is still stopped if something is in the way when extending it. This just has the added benefit of it has less of a chance to jam or be ruined.

Sell the design to ubisoft so they can mass produce it as a merchandise. Also the voice reminds me a bit of „im giovanni giorgio but everybody cals me giorgio”
