Sean Romera thank you and you know what that's what I was expecting the next one to be: in Feudal Japan which would be great especially with the clothing and gear they brought out for Bayek before the last DLC released. Like I said in many other comment sections they're idiots they've infuriated me with this prostitution of history. They missed an ample opportunity by succumbing to their id's want of money. Ubisoft is a failure. Origins was a step in the right direction the only thing that could've made it better for me is giving that option for Bayek to counter while implementing new combat system. Oh well I've stopped with AC before I can do it again stopping at Origins.

If i know anything abour ubisoft its that they arent going to make a game half as decent as mass effect. They're lazy copy and paste developers that never put the needed time into any project becuase they dont care about the quality of thier dialog or stories, they just care about open world and other gimicks which is one of the reasons unisoft has such a high turn over rate with their player base... usually after like 3 months most players abondon their games

You say Origins was copy and paste and yet it's drastically different then previous games in the series. more different then any mass effect games compared to each other. Also, even though the games may be released yearly, every game is worked on for years (Odyssey for example was 3 years in development) - Ubisoft is a much larger company then Bioware and has multiple sub-companies that work on different projects simultaneously. Personally I loved Origins and it's gameplay (I actually liked the combat more then Witcher 3) and after ~150 hours playing it I can definitely say that I enjoyed it far more then W3. I'll let you wait for the next time Bioware makes a good game - it may take some time....

You're hearing him speak in English, which is the weird part (I wonder if the game has a Greek language option with English subtitles). English is not Greek, and has its own pluralization method, regardless of a word's origin - well-established loanwords used in English don't have to follow the rules of another language. Loanwords can follow the rules of either language, so "symposiums" is also a valid plural in an English sentence. Likewise with, for example, "octopuses" instead of Greek "octopodes" or the technically incorrect Latinized "octopi" (though it's been in use in English for longer than the valid "octopuses"), or for another example "penises" rather than the correct Latin "penes" or the incorrectly Latinized "peni". With Socrates' accent though, "symposia" would have sounded nice. Euphony should probably take precedence in prose, regardless.

I don't get why this game is an Assassin's Creed game. You permanently pick one of two character who play through the same missions, nullifying the reliving an ancestor bit of the series. You apparently pick the outcome of a real war, even though you're meant to be reliving memories not changing the past. The Assassin order doesn't exist yet. And you have a magic spear. Don't get me wrong, the game looks fun but why not make it a game about playing as a greek god or hero? Kratos has buggered off north you don't have to avoid greek mythology anymore.

Assassins creed the soap opera of videogames. I hope in this one we finally end that First civilization plot point that syndicate got so close to ending and origins dragged it out like a 80s boyband from retirement.

Origins had some horrible animations and glitches in the demo some played during Gamescon (IIRC, maybe E3) - but most got fixed before it's release. Hope it's the same here.

Oh absolutely, in some of the cool places in origins I would make Bayek walk through them, taking in the gorgeous visuals. However the walking and running animations in the game play we've seen so far for Odyssey is really off putting. It's a triple A game. It will be fixed i'm sure.

You have seen nothing but gameplay which looks good. Cant say it's not an assassin's Creed game with out knowing the store. The core of the game is finding knowledge of the past to find relics. Relics much older then the order. So it makes some sense they might go back.

Well, yes, Origins did change the series somewhat... For instance, social stealth and Unity parkour are gone... But I'm also talking about chronology here. Origins was a definitive reset button (which they hit wrong, but oh well), and it gave them a new starting chance to really ramp up the series in a successive way. Instead, they went further back in time, confusing fans and non-fans alike, removing the hidden blade and the Brotherhood altogether. Given that the series hangs on the identity of the Brotherhood so much and what they represent, proceeding without that aspect into the prequel Odyssey was not actually an ideal step forward, but an illogical step backward (at least at this point). There is also SO much history to explore between Bayek and the Crusades, it's ridiculous, so there's not an excuse for a lack of setting. As many have suggested, you could do the fall of western Rome, Attila the Hun, Constantine, Charlemagne, or the Viking period, and those stories have so much potential it's ridiculous... But they've opted for something else entirely.

Took some great elements from previous games - Senu and tagging system from Origins - Combat System from Origins - Double character development from Syndicate - Naval combat from Black Flag and Rogue - A fresher outlook on life before the full development of the Creed similar to Origins - The usual AC basis of using historical details to create a sense of realism Overall HYPPPPEEEE

And that's a bad thing? No more desert, +1 for me. Greek Gods instead of Egyptian, +1 again. New map, new leveling system and such, new story. I don't see a negative really. Oh and let's not forget that anything before Origins was always the same too, they changed it in Origins, will use the formula and upgrade it a while, and in a few more games, it will change again probably. I like this playstyle, the previous assasins style was dull and based on dodging.

The statue of Apollo if naked because he is what is called a hero stance. A lot of famous statues that depict hero’s and god they show them as either half clothed or fully naked (depending the the statue) also sometimes they would actually put real clothe on to statues as well instead of carving them on

It's hardly an AC game as far as I'm concerned, no Creed, no hidden blade, no robes? Also I know the games use history as a playground but it still supposed to be history, all the options and choices seem to defy this. Also also how can both playable characters be canon?

Jessica Strike They're not, Kassandra is canon. It's a bit like the KOTOR games. Male Revan was the canon choice, but the player could be/create a female character to play as, if they wanted. I fail to see how this isn't Assassins Creed. Layla meets William Miles in Origins. They (the Assassins) are obviously researching this historical character for a reason. Most likely because she has a connection of relevance to the Isu. (First Civilisation) My guess is that it's POE related, Eve bloodline related and Order of the Ancients related (Early Templar stuff) Just my opinion though. :3
