I agree with people the historical aspect of AC is the best part. But the modern day plot is also interesting. The reason people are annoyed with it is because we've spent like 3-4 games doing the same crap over and over with little advancement. Find some precursor artefact, advance plot a little. I think the entire AC2 modern day plotline advanced more than all the assassins games post AC3....

assassins creed never gave much care about the present. they only put as little as it was possible for the sake of the plot. most of it only happens in the novels and comics. they had the initiates website which was amazing and they fucking got rid of it just like project legacy.

According to Nolan North, the original plan for Desmond's story was that he would appear in six games, using the Animus to acquire the skills of each of his ancestors. By the last game, he would have eventually become "the ultimate Assassin" and be able to time travel back and forth into different eras within his memories. *I fucking hate Ubisoft for ruining this*

Maybe by touching the beacon in the end of AC3, Desmond released Juno but end up trapped himself in the temple, like Juno before him. In AC: Syndicate, Juno's followers wanna use the Shrouds of Eden (capable of restoration and healing) to revive Juno into physical form. What if this Shrouds of Eden can be use to revive Desmond as well? 😀😀😀

They announced that the Initiates were going to take a backstage to the series after (AC: Unity) in game the reason is because other master assassins began to object to Miles using a 3rd party as expendable tools so he 86ed it. My guess is we're witnessing the birth of a new assassin who we'll be following around for quite some time. Just like Desmond did in AC1 her skills are absolute crap, but unlike Desmond she's likely a slightly lower priority than Desmond was and she has the leader of the brotherhood protecting her from the get go.

Zaim Zullfkar its very very broken AC AC2 AC brotherhood AC revelations AC 3 Those 5 had a cohesive story that made sense. The templars wanted to make a new world through Juno, Minerva, and the other guy destroying it then rebuilding the world as the Temps see fit. Then in Black flag Rouge Unity Syndicate We played through 4 games that had no story at all. They weren't connected to the previous titles in any way, and the story was seemingly dropped. Pieces of eden End of the world All of it was just dropped, like the story was good as hell then just stopped. We only hear the former main cast but they're so important. All 4 abstergo employees were i guess insiders, but ultimatley did nothing but leak info 4 times? The titles didn't have shit with the pieces of Eden they just dropped that. And it was nearly the best part Altair and Ezio using the Apple. Its busted and broken

16 minutes of barely connected scenes... I felt genuinely confused when the game threw me out of the animus and started creating some drama with Abstergo employees with bows trying to kill the protagonist for the reasons the game doesn't explain, I even thought the game got bugged and triggered a scene I'm not yet supposed to see. I was so excited that they finally gave us a modern-day protagonist when I started the game, but it turned out worse than Syndicate... Well, they didn't beat Unity, at least.
