Altair was born on January 11,1165. He was 25 during Assassin's Creed 1, which took place during the fall of 1191. He left Masyaf to fight the Mongols/Ghengis Khan in 1217, at age 52. The scene where Maria dies was 10 years later, just after their return from the war, which means he would have been 62. He remains in exile for twenty years before returning during this scene, which means he is 82. He died 10 years after this cutscene on August 12, 1257 at the age of 92.

Back when an Assassin’s Creed game feels like an Assassin’s Creed game. Now it feels like an action RPG with its leveling system. Equipment and enemies now dependent on your level.

Jadeus Knight yeah i fucking hate the new combat, hit 1 guy 20 times with a sword just to kill him, not even remotly fun, it’s just tedious. And in oddisey a hidden blade kill is no longer an instakill, it’s so shitty ac is not ac anymore.
@alpharabbit23536 жыл бұрын
Isak Isak Levels are just to keep players from powering through the whole experience. It's meant to be savored through side activities. As long as your level is adequate, it's little different than it's always been. Your equipment and approach make a difference in any given situation. Not that I'm particularly defending Odyssey... Origins at least felt like an AC game, but Odyssey contradicts it's own rules and hasn't shown anything remotely resembling an AC plot. I'd forgive them if they're gradually going to develop these characters(who totally aren't the same person) into the actual role ala Edward, but Ubisoft hasn't even hinted at it. Hell, I'd be happy if these characters were Templars. Just give us something relevant...

@Daniel-lk8tj4 жыл бұрын
Actually, I like this memory a lot. I like how despite of 20 years of being exiled Altaïr returns and the true Assassins follow and respect him as they acknowledge that he is their true mentor. A few years later Altair finds out that if he doesn't change the future the world could be fucked, so he hid the Masyaf keys all around Constantinople these keyes opens the Library in Masyaf. Which is where the final key is, which Altair is trying to tell Ezio that he shouldn't dedicate his life for the Assassin brotherhood and instead give up that life and let Desmond do the rest. Since Desmond lives in a more modern time with more advanced technology, Desmond has a much more higher understanding about the war between the Assassins and Templars and Isu. I get that feeling. The early *Assassin's Creed* games had a special atmosphere-the blend of historical intrigue, focused stealth gameplay, and a more personal connection to the Brotherhood. Characters like Altair and Ezio made the story feel grounded and meaningful, while the simpler gameplay mechanics allowed players to immerse themselves in the experience without overwhelming RPG elements. The original games were more focused on the Assassin's Creed-literally-the core philosophy of the brotherhood, parkour-heavy exploration, and strategic assassinations. Now, while the series has evolved into something grander with massive open worlds and RPG systems, there's a certain charm to the more focused narratives and gameplay of the early entries. It’s that nostalgia for the simpler, more intimate moments-climbing the tallest buildings, blending into crowds, or having those quiet moments with historical figures-that really tugs at fans who’ve been there from the start. Which part of the old *AC* days do you miss the most? The story, characters, or just the overall style?

I really love the fact they speak about Altair as a confused story. It's like, his story is so sad and confused that there are legends around his name, around his deeds and life. Reminds me when you talk about something you haven't lived personally with a friend that have a different opinion. You can see one thinks altaïr is a traitor and the other thinks not. They probably have no idea of the real story, they only know rumors or old stories. Altaïr is so important, this game perfectly demonstrates it

@efrainsoto96Ай бұрын
Rest in peace, indeed. Altair will always be remembered as one of the most legendary assassins, the foundation on which the *Assassin's Creed* legacy was built. His journey from a brash, arrogant assassin to a wise mentor and leader left a lasting impact not only on the Brotherhood within the game but also on fans who followed his story. His actions shaped the Creed, and his influence persisted long after his time. Altair's story was about redemption, growth, and the weight of responsibility, making him an unforgettable character in gaming history. His legacy truly lives on in every hidden blade.
