What's funny actually is that fans of assassin's creed were asking for a Japan Era like sengoku, for hattori hanzo (he was also a assassin) But ubisoft never made it or give any answers of it or ignored it... Atleast suckerpunch production listened and made Ghost of Tsushima...

Altair was truly the greatest assasin. Not kinda why or whatever the hell people say because, oh, Ezio exists. While Ezio existed, he did not manage to change Assassins as a whole, as Altair did. Altair knew the deception of the apple and the assassins, even to this day in ac games assassins are in fact no better than templars, they all want the same thing, take a lot of the games for example. While Altair knew how to control the apple and create a whole new order, Ezio made a decision, not on behalf of the assassins, but on behalf of himself, otherwise only ruin of the assassins would happen, sad to think about it. I even learned that Altair, in the first game, instead of a health bar, he had a desync bar because he never got hit, and if he ever got hit in the game it wouldn't allign with the past, crazy stuff

Abbas was truly a pitiful man. He was insecure of Altair in every possible turn, from childhood up until his very last moments. Here, Abbas thinks Altair bends the Creed for his whims. When someone started to agree with Altair, he pushes him off the ledge. He gets the Apple in thirst for power, so no one else will disagree. He usurps Altair to become the Master, betraying Altair and resulting to the deaths of his wife, son, and his best friend. Decades later, he corrupted Masyaf just to stay in power. In the end, Abbas was the one to bend the Creed out of his own insecurity.

Who here agrees that after Ubisoft finishes the firestorm that is Layla Hassan, they should come back to the Assassin Initiates and Templar Recruits programs and explore more of Altair’s life? There’s decades of memories to explore for him. He held the Apple for over 60 years, deciphered the illusions and learned how to make the Codex. What if Altair found the key to defeating Juno through the Pieces of Eden, and the key lies in what he learned from the Apple? Besides, Altair is the second most popular Assassin besides Ezio, so let’s stop focusing on other Assassins, and let’s focus on the man who rebuilt the brotherhood from the ground up after Abbas destroyed it.

The in-game universe explained that Altair has american Accent because of the limitation of Animus, and they can only translate it into English. But you are right, they should remaster the game and Altair should have the arabic accent, along with the ability to swim and subtitles.

Abbas didn't have the apple, in the games and books they make it clear that it never left Altair side, the event from Revelations to the books differ but the general gist is the same, Abbas was not the only Assassin Altair look down upon, the only difference was that he was willing to cast out the others, (He always felt pity toward Abbas because Altair witnessed his fathers suicide). Abbas united all the anti-Altair assasins to him while Altair was away on a mission, and the rest is history.

Umm guys d you foget that Altair was the that made changes to the hidden blade so no finger was sacrifice and the one who made it standard fir double hidden blade and made the strongest armor

Ardee Mangaliman in AC2 it was Leonardo Da Vinci who reengineered the hidden blade to not require a finger to be chopped off and Ezio (should be) the first assassin to use a dual hidden blade. Strongest armour wise, yeah he did make that but it lasted until AC: Brotherhood where it got blasted by a cannon (it’s impervious time swords but I doubt against a cannon).

Abbas showed contempt and hatred toward Altair for telling a truth he didn't like and denied it his whole life. He became jealous of Altair for his accomplishments and becoming mentor. Altair even let Abbas stay in the order after his attempt to steal the Apple and Abbas repaid it with treason and killing his son.

What I find funny and a bit tragic about this is that Abbas's suspicion and doubts aren't unwarranted or random. Sure, he was a jealous and vengeful man but if you played the first game, you'll know Altair wasn't the model assassin that everyone loved. He was superior in skill, sure, but he was too quick to act and too willing to kill for the sake of the mission. The first scene in the first game is literally him killing a civilian to which his peer, Malik, criticized him of. His brash actions indirectly led to Malik losing his arm and his brother, making him resentful of Altair throughout the game whenever you go on missions in Jerusalem but ironically, near the end of the game, Malik realizes that Altair has become a changed man from his actions and redemption towards regaining his previous rank. This scene right is literally minutes after the end of the first game so while Altair has gained the respect of many, Malik included, he didn't have everyone's approval like Abbas who probably only heard of the bad things Altair has done (before getting demoted), and using those stories of incompetence as an excuse to fuel his hatred for him even more, eventually leading to him trying to rebel and usurp him. If only he saw the effort Altair put in to bettering himself like what Malik saw, then maybe he wouldn't have been as hateful as he became

Also don't like the new voice actor. The original voice actor was Iranian and it worked. He seemed much more confident overall.
