With the release of its cinematic trailer, Assassin's Creed Shadows finally offers its first look at the world and characters of the open-world action RPG. Formerly Codename Red, it stars Naoe and Yasuke, a shinobi and samurai who team up during the late Sengoku era.
Their goals are unknown, but Shadows offers a mix of hack-and-slash combat and stealth-based gameplay. Yasuke's gameplay is more in line with recent stealth titles, focusing more on upfront combat, while Naoe is akin to old-school protagonists with sneaking, assassinations and parkour.

Don't know about other people, in my case, I can pre-order the physical version for about 50 bucks now( I'm not in USA) and not getting charged till the game is sent. Can cancel my pre-order any time till it's sent. And since I like all recent AC games and have bugger all to play till November, love RPG and Japanese setting, finished GoT and nearly finished Ronin - pre-order is not a brainer for me. I love AC Odyssey, by far my favorite AC game. The same team is making Shadows, so I hope it's similar with the rpg mechanics. @@casualplayerbr138 Only the boring part that I skip as fast as I can. Odyssey it has very little, so far up to level 28 I've only had to do that dumb 💩 once. I wish they just made rpgs and kept the same story with the ancients, or chasing down a cult, or Templars, just never jumping back and forth from present day to the past.

Hard pass on this game. Just can’t take this serious. He was never a Samurai nor an Assassin, he took one part in a single battle then vanished. Ubisoft should have done their research. Why not have two Japanese characters to represent their culture? And this is in no shape or form a racist comment. I just feel this would have been suited for a Japanese character.🙄

there has never been a good game with semless switching of characters...so the probability of ubisoft of all companys to make this work is very very low...it just breaks the roll playing feeling
