Hmm it being code-named “League” could be attributed to the in-game Assassin faction being called the League of Shinobi or Shinobi League. “players can create their own Shinobi League and customize their hideout” I got that quote from google. Mayhaps, the AC Valhalla Jomsviking system return? Where we can recruit each others Shinobi? Time will tell.

To me, AC is a single player game first and foremost, so I'm happy this co-op is not integrated into the base game. Look, I'm happy for those who enjoy that type of game to have that option, but I've played games with single player that were designed for co-op and it often feels like they are punishing you for solo play, which is how I play.

As a PoP Trilogy fan, sad to see the downfall of Ubisoft; even though they took loyal, real gamers for granted. Fans who catapulted Ubi into Fortune 500 were abandoned. I recently made a John Wick style action montage using SC Blacklist stylish takedowns. Looks badass with music I chose. If only we got a proper JW game that way, Ubisoft could license. They had all the right tools already from SC and Watch Dogs. Too late now...

Even Outlaws was just poorly realized. Why would you make a Star Wars game and not allow players to be Jedi, Sith, bounty hunters, or Mandalorians? Ubisoft is known for smooth combat, parkour, and cool gameplay mechanics. None of that is in outlaws and probably because the team behind Divison made it. Then that begs the question of why not make a republic commando type game since that’s more in their skill set?

I’ve been saying for the past year that Sony should’ve acquired Ubisoft instead of Bungie and now that failed so-called “200 million dollar” game that failed. Companies are failing to see the investment with IPs Ubisoft has. Sony could 100% revive these games and their current state and make $ off it easily, it’s baffling to me.

I wonder if co-op is gonna be something similar to Unity where you can play most of the missions with your friends aside of a few single player story missions. It would be very interesting, especially since one person would be the brute that is Yasuke and Naoe who relies on stealth. If this is true, it's probably gonna be one of the best things they added in a while in the RPG era of the AC franchise, probably the best if done right

Would be cool to play with them both during missions, like two players take out a castle together. I did have a cool idea where a player can have like a super attack that calls in the other character for like back up, like in combat you can call in Yasuke to whoop some ass along side you and if you're playing as Yasuke you can call in Naoe to stealth takedown some enemies in your path.

I hope that AC shadows adds lots of weapons. Like different types of katana's, and also i hope it fits into the AC storyline. I also wish that they are going to add different armor, and different ways to forge it, like giving materials to a blacksmith, which will take real time, like 30 mins for a rare sword, and 10-15 mins for different pieces of armour. I hope the stealth and kill animations are good, cuz they need to add physics to new AC games, like if Yasuke hits someone in the head or anywhere painful, like the groins, make the head fly off, and make the enemy clutch his groin area and slowly die. I just want realism

Tom Henderson clarified that it was in development before the delay. It will probably be there in release and if it follows my gut it will be a 2 player co op mode that contains special missions like for co op. We can expect it will look like co op like the Far cry games.

The thought of both going into a building to achieve our goal and taking out the target. Or following someone to see where they go but, you lose sight of him only for your coop buddy to get eyes on the target. Or double assassinations...

I hope they make the Black flag remake GOOD. They just need to fix the graphics, and remove most of the tailing missions. I would also like a sneak option, since that helps a ton in the other games. They should also improve combat, like you can customize the swords on each hand, and put different swords on each hand, because that will spice up the gameplay. They just need to fix graphics, add a bit of gameplay improvements, and stealth mechanics. Also fix most of the tailing missions.

It would have worked perfectly too because although it was kind of Jacob/Bayek big strong, Evie/Aya smaller/lighter and sneaky in a very simplistic sense it wasn't super overblown in it's disparity, they were fairly similar at the end of the day, Yasuke and Naoe though aren't like this, the disparity between the 2 is massive in pretty much every facet.

you know tbh, i was stuck wondering about how they would deal with the set marketing for the existing characters but i just realized they had already done that with the 3 unnamed unknown characters who appear in all the trailers, gameplay and marketing of AC Unity. Remember those guys? They were even on the cover of the game. I feel like they’ve kind of pulled this off before, albeit the AC Unity change appeared to have been made earlier in the game’s development, before the official reveal. Idk, they’ll still get clowned on, but leaving the ability to craft a character to the likings of the respective player may provide ubisoft a line strong enough to pull this one out of the swamp, at at least avoid losing their heads here. but I suppose that’s a maybe. regardless of what comes in february, they better have learned why folks are so upset, because regardless of the quality of the product, their customer facing relations are completely unacceptable as of late.

I'm excited about this! As a day one AC fan and one who always stuck with the franchise and never succumbed to the incessant hate, I'm already planning on getting AC Shadows, no matter how toxic today's online climate of loud vocal echo chambers is. I could care less about what the culture war grifters and their chuds think. Rockstar, a studio who so many grovel at the feet and drink the bathwater of, has always implemented multi-player post launch. I realize having more multi-player modes and sandbox features has something to do with that, and Ubisoft games like Far Cry are known for having co-op at launch, but I always thought Shadows was a perfect candidate for that. I trust Tom.

Its own story that culminates with a 3-chapter raid, and also the survival horde mode. Finally they added rivals mode which is PvEvP set outside of the story of Iyo but still within the Legends lore. *All free btw* ☺️ I highly recommend you play both main story and Legends mode if you didnt. Heck even if you did, give it another whirl given we have Ghost of Yōtei coming soon.

I just want real campaign coop. Not new coop we get in games. Where its the bullshit of a few missions and that's it. Let me do the entire campaign in coop with a friend. We have 1 main characters so it literally works perfect. We each get 1 character and we do the entire story. If you want to solo that's ok as well. You lose nothing by adding in coop at all. IF they added real full story coop this would become a day 1 purchase for me.

Oh God I can see this go horribly wrong. You can't make a stealth game with co op. You just can't. Unless you play with friends and have group chat, playing a purely stealth mission is impossible to work right. And even with friends it's hard to do. Not to mention with how late they're adding it and the first time the added multiplayer, this can go horribly wrong. Unity's multiplayer was the most glitchy part of the game

Co-op when their 'playstyles' are such polar opposites? Or will they definitely be 2 unnamed minor Assassins? Part of co-op is sneaking around together and doing stuff.... Except Yaskuke.... So maybe we'll just fight together attack mode on.... But that's not very Assassins Creedy nor does it really fit Naoe.... It's just immersion breaking from either end.
