In Japan, some family crests are registered as trademarks, and many ordinary households use family crests that are not registered as trademarks. Family crests are used at events such as funerals and weddings. Therefore, if you use a family crest without permission, there may be problems with trademark registration, and if you use a family crest in a disrespectful way, it may be seen as an insult to a particular family. @@drnanard9605 Your statement is off-topic. As you mentioned, historical facts themselves are not copyrighted. What Ubisoft is infringing upon are the copyrighted works of a Japanese individual or organization. Additionally, Japan is a signatory to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, which stipulates that copyrights are protected in other member countries as well. This means that when Ubisoft, as a foreign company, uses Japanese copyrighted material, it must obtain the rights holder’s permission. However, Ubisoft has included numerous Japanese copyrighted works in its games without the rights holders' consent. This constitutes a clear case of copyright infringement. Furthermore, while there is no copyright on Japanese national treasures or cultural properties like Todai-ji, there are other regulations to consider. The protection of Japanese cultural properties is strict, and several permissions must be obtained from the property’s owners or managers. However, Ubisoft has not followed any of these procedures. The owners of the cultural properties have protested to Ubisoft, but Ubisoft has ignored these protests.

When the initial cinematic trailer for black ops 6 came out I thought "hmm maybe I'll buy this one" and then instantly saw the pre-order option on PS4 and I was mind boggled thinking how can someone buy a game with basically no idea what it even has to offer. I don't think it's as crazy if you've seen gameplay, like this video, and then decided you want to pre-order it. But I think it's absolutely ridiculous that people will buy a game with no gameplay knowledge just because it's a name brand.
UBI responded that they would continue to steal the Sekigahara Rifle Corps flag that Ubi stole. Ubi responded that they could not take the photo book back because it had already been sent. This is very dishonest and criminal. If they could not take it back, they could just destroy it and reprint it.
We have received another notification that the unauthorized use of photos of Sekigahara Teppo Tai included in the art book cannot be corrected.
