@@ivsine some fighting styles look much more like dancing now I do not know much about spartan fight styles but in others spinning your weapon grants you momentum to break your oppents defense.. now let's assume for some reason kass never fought a viking and if she did it wasn't somebody as good as evior she would have to adjust to a new fight style which is diffucult at first and same goes for evior... yes in this fight they are evenly matched but in future fights kassandra would probbally wipe the floor with him till he figured out how to beat her

THIS is how you do a clash of protagonists. There was no disrespect done to either of them, and both got to show off a TON of their skills against one another. Eivor's more primal, raw, and adaptive style vs Cassandra's sharp, disciplined experience. It went wonderfully well, and is how all protagonist fights should go; respect given to both along with the appropriate badassery, but don't give too much love to one side unless they've REALLY earned it.

The need to cut off the ring finger is only thanks to Bayek which became an initiation ritual for Assassins until Ezio's time. So, either she got her blade before Bayek or it could be a makeshift blade from her time with Darius. She got over 1000 years, after all.

Notice how Kassandra stops and tilts her head as if to listen for something. When Eivor asks if she heard something, she actually had. It wasnt just her thinking. Since she has her father's spear, she's granted immortality. But what else was she granted? The ability to speak to Aletheia. It was Aletheia speaking to her, letting her know that it's best to work with Eivor. Most likely different wording as we aren't presented with what she actually said, but I do believe that's what was happening in that moment. Amazing detail.

A cool detail I’ve just noticed about Kassandra during the fight is if you watch her, she actually goes through 4 distinct fighting styles associated with different future protagonists. She starts off in her usual Spartan fighting style, heavy weapons, force and momentum, then draws the sword and switches to an Ezio’esque fluid, balanced & precise style. Then goes through Edward and Connor with a dual swords, bucaneer style and hunters techniques, and finishes with a Viking strong style similar to Eivor. Eivor adapts, but Kassandra shows her 1000+ yr combat experience at this point by effortlessly changing styles and approach depending on her arsenal.

I like this, this is good, neither one of the protagonist were made to look bad or be better than the other or disrespected. They both showed off how badass they both were. Even in the end, Kassandra showed her lifetimes of experience in battle and Eivor at the end was basically equal to a Demi-god, further more, a god damn Spartan! Both are so epic! This is what games need when two main liked protagonists meet to not make another audience angry.

You might be surprised. Later in the story Kassandra outright commends Eivor for being strong, Eivor later states that they had Kassandra cornered. Not even minutes later, Kassandra confirms this by saying that she and Eivor are of similar strength, at the sea coast, Kassandra further states that Eivor took a lot out of her in that fight and that she wasn't sure if she was ready for a second fight, to which Eivor states that Kassandra had put them on their toes as well. So uh, nah, reincarnations of the Isu are pretty much equal to literal demigods in AC now.

Literally the only thing that saved Eivor was the fact that Kassandra saw his hidden blade, which caused her to hold back her killing blow later just so she could show him hers. She disarmed him three times, fought a good portion of the fight with her hand behind her back, even ducked his killing blow casually. She played with him the entire fight

By this point, 1,303 years have passed between Odyssey and Valhalla. Kassandra would have been in her twenties in Odyssey, with 17 years passed between being thrown off the mountain and finding her mother on Naxos. She would be round 1,325 - 1,330 years old by this time she met eivor

I’m kinda bummed about this. I played Odyssey as Alexios so it felt really odd when I interact with Kassandra being I never played her in Odyssey. It really sucks they didn’t include Alexios in the crossover… and plus the ending of Odyssey showed Alexios in present day, so seeing this play out will just felt off to me like it doesn’t connect.. I couldn’t engage in her character because I was so use to seeing Alexios.

She doesn't appear to be suffering though. If anything, she seems to be enjoying her immortality since she gets to be a beautiful young woman forever and the world has essentially become her playground whenever she's not saving it from Juno's schemes. Also, I don't think Kassandra is emotionally attached to her descendants since she has so many of them that their deaths have become inconsequential to her.

If you played odyssey the dlc that started all this you could see her contemplating if she should go after the artifacts, she wanted to grow old and have a family. She thought it was “unfair” at first, she even ended up having a son and being with a guy, the world was after kassandra so to keep her child safe she sent him off with the father far away I believe not sure though. I made kassandra with her choices in odyssey a person that is considerate, helps without needing money and always trying to do the best she can for her loved ones. She’s lost friends and she has cried. She was 100% attached emotionally to people but now their all dead so not anymore and if you see her relationship with evior, you could see she was fond of him and good friends. She showed him the word “maláka” evior had no clue what it meant and she explained it to him. Kassandra enjoyed her immortal life but there was a lot of grief behind it and I believe it made her even more a “workaholic” she dug in those artifacts even more while she was grieving, and made her even more determined in my opinion.

Id definitely bet Kassandra is a significantly better fight that Eivor largely because of how long she’s been alive to this point and I can imagine her skills sharpened as she aged. Edit: Id go as far to say that she is the strongest protagonist in the series by a good bit. I’m not taking away from Altair, Ezio, Edward etc. and saying they’re weak, because they absolutely aren’t but at the same time, you can’t ignore the benefits of well over 1000 years of keeping on it and learning new ways to fight.

kind of disapointed, the scene is amazing however it was too short, there wasn't too much challenge in the isle of the skye. The scene was fantastic, however I would have preffered to fight this fight myself. Also it would have been amazing if we could choose to fighting either as Kassandra or Eivor. A human Isu hybrid (Kassandra) fighting Odin's Sage (Eivor) is epic. Both of them are strong and have the strength of an Isu. Isu are strong beings to the point human rebels had to resort to assassinating them from the shadows to beat them. The stealth trait was inherited by the human rebels' descendants and the descendants' followers which might consist of Darius, Kassandra, and etc.

I love watching this fight because not only can you see a difference in experience, but also a difference in style. Eivor has a rough brute force approach, wide swings and sortve lumbering slow movement as a viking would, whereas kassandra fights almodt gracefully,every movement seems to have purpose, eith little to no energy bring wasted, befitting of a trained roman mercenary with centuries of fighting prowess
