In this video I decided to be positive about Assassin's Creed Valhalla and go over what I feel the game improved from Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins. The game is beautiful graphically most of the time, the combat has the brutality that I've always wanted in an AC game, the story actually lead me to delving into Norse Mythology, Eivor's story is pretty cool and he/she makes you feel like you're roleplaying a real badass and I REALLY liked Eivor's final words to Odin.

For me it is a missed opportunity , I would love to see Eivor living a double life like Giovanni did during the day he was a banker during nigth he was an assassisn , I would’ve love seeing eivor hiding his true self from the clan an hunting down the ancient ones

Valhalla's environment was on different level, In Odyssey and in Origins there was mostly sunny days, But Valhalla had different weathers in different places which made game more feel like real.

Yeah I loved Valhalla, but Odyssey has raining, upgraded to 60fps with next gen graphics on ps5 like Valhalla. Just no snow, that’s where Valhalla has advantage in all kinds of weather. I loved snowy in that game, felt like real with Viking gear. I just feel like old England looks bland and boring with all same Viking cabins over again and again, but I enjoyed story, combat and conquering every castles. I liked Valhalla gear customization more than Odyssey but because Greece was hot, I enjoyed being a Spartan showing off muscle body. Odyssey has different building sculptures and different beautiful architectures, clear blue ocean, that’s what it stands out in that game.

So you can play different games like Witcher 3 , Shadow of War, Skyrim, Oblivion, etc There are plenty of Action RPG games and Assassins Creed is standing out because of stealth. Take it out and you will see the IP will die bc majority does like it bc of the stealth

They'll say it means Ubisoft can't write a good story for the protagonist but this is untrue. AC just has a toxic KZbin and media community that are sorta sexist and so wanna seem like they're not sexist by buying into woke politics and forcing it into the new games (the games those fans dont care about) in order to appear less sexist. You'll notice all they're favourite leads are white straight typical men. This is fine on it's own but not so ok, when they force this one gender canon stuff onto the new games.

I got to say that I like valhalla. Even thought the stealth is so hard cause of the insta detect, I still try to do as much stealth as I can. I think the way they ubisoft went is a much better step Than with oddssey. I think if they made evoir an assassin then the game would be more loved. This is my opinion on the game.

Don't bother trying to buy it. Ubisoft has been under fire with employee testimonies of sexual harrassment and workplace misconduct. The higher-ups are essentially aware of these awful actions and yet, they don't do anything about it, instead, they just sweep these issues under the rug. Ubisoft's horrendous actions need to be brought to light and have the people committing and allowing these acts to be fired. #HoldUbisoftAcountable

I personally love Odyssey, the world is varied, beautiful, and alive. A great representation of ancient Greece. Not a drab lifeless world. A lot of the side quests are pretty funny with some good dialogue choices. The combat wasn't bad, it's no ghost of tsushima but it was fun with a lot of play styles accommodated. The skill tree isn't bloated and doesn't force you down a path. I may not have used all the loot but I sure as heck enjoyed all the options and the ability to assign almost any weapon or outfit perk to anything I wanted. I got a good hundred hours of gameplay out of it without it getting stale or boring. I think they did an amazing job building the world. I'm not a big assassin's Creed fan but out of all the AC games I think it's the one I'd recommend the most.

1. There are no lots of playstyles. There is one. Combat. To be stealthy or and archer you had to grind for gear. 2. Skill tree is way too little for 120h game. There are a dozen useful abilities. That is one ability every 10 hours. That is bullshit. 3. After 20h I was done. I saw all the game has to offer. Watching DLC playthrough looks exactly the same as early game only enemies are silver and glow.

Odyssey is so much repetitive, if you don't get bored I should definitely give you an award for that, at one point I thought I may lost interest in whole video games. Most of the main missions and side missions are just get in the fort, kill the gang, loot. It feels endless. On rare occasions we get something different then again back to chores

@@redfoofan4618 what are you talking about? Unity's engine, AnvilNext 2.0, was used in Unity, Syndicate, Origins and Odyssey (also AC3 Remake). Valhalla uses a new version, branded Ubisoft Anvil (and not just Anvil or AnvilNext that served for AC2 to Rogue).

I just want to say one thing. That's I love Valhalla. Sure it has some problems which may bother the fan but as a casual player who don't focus too much on the lore, I feel this game quite good at storytelling. It's just like a tale about a great adventure where you travel to new land, meet new people, join them to make a remarkable journey. The gameplay is kind of ok, I mean the strength of the series is always about stealth and assassinate so sometimes I'm not enjoy the berserker fighting style. But the series really need improvement. You can't have the same old game style continously, we already have 9 or 10 games with that design which at some point may make us feel boring. I enjoy AC2,ACB,BF and Unity a lot but after finish Unity I feel like there's something missing, maybe because I'm so familiar with this style for quite long. Ubisoft makes mistake, they should put an end to the series so it will be remember as a legend series but too bad they just try to milk the franchise and destroy the progress that cost so much to build. I love the old one, and respect/enjoy the new one, but honestly it's time to put an end to the story of the Creed. Let just make a new seperate series, an rpg series which is absolutely ok as we can see fans do appriciate this genre. Rather than make an online server where we see dozens of player jumping around in the map, it's doesn't fit with the assassin atmosphere

Not innovating for too long is a problem but I feel like what used to be the strengths of the series have seriously turned into the most weakly-executed things in the recent RPG titles, which definitely irks me to no end. They kind of dug their own graves with Unity's launch, which is a definite shame, but Ubisoft is practically propping up a corpse in order to sell something completely different in both style and substance. Odyssey and Valhalla ditch the whole "assassin" feel so hard they'd almost be better off with it completely gone (which Odyssey did have until the dlcs came in) instead of butchering it for some poorly designed attempt at invoking nostalgia. I actually do like base Odyssey for what it is and Valhalla is an alright-ish viking game, but if Black Flag were a great pirate game with a solid "Assassin's Creed" story Valhalla is an alright-ish viking game with an alright-ish viking game story. I agree that they should've ended this years ago.

I really loved the Modern day focus. I don’t like how they have been using pieces of Eden in Valhalla for side quests because I like seeing them as more like possible game changers or really useful tools that affect the overarching story rather than just an accessory to look cool like the three big ISU weapons and this game were. Like I get like if it’s like Black Flag with the Mayan armor where they give the characters big motivation in the main story to get equipment like that, but in Valhalla it’s huge named Eden Weapons that on there own could’ve been focuses of an Assassin’s Creed game to get that just kinda feels wrong to just be non main story extra items to get.

@@MAP233224 i get what you mean but somehow the AI spots me when I am crouching in grass and i am at the easiest stealth difficulty, this certainly was not in Odyssey or Origins, when you were crouching in grass, the AI suspected something and looked around, now i get instantly spotted somehow.

Idk what changed this past week but I’m actually really enjoying Valhalla. I’m kinda just immersing myself in the world and having a lot of fun. I’m at the point now where I have good abilities, a build and I’m progressing at a reasonable pace. It’s not the best AC game by any means but I maybe I was too hard on it before.

Well, persomally i really loved ac valhalla because of it's rich world and lore, the beautifully crafted storyline and the fun little stories that we had with each region that we pacify. I vividly remember the glowcestreschire one still to this day, as i found it one of the best ones, even though i finished the game something like 6 months ago. I didn't play any of the dlc yet, but i don't think that it is that bad, as the ideas seem pretty good.

I'd of prefer a mix of the old system for side quest and the new system in Valhalla. What I dislike the most out of the new system was the rewards. After a certain point you just quit caring about XP because you’re already OP so halfway through I just started skipping most of them. Also I wish more missions in General had more of an impact on the world around you. It could have something minor like clearing a village and watching the inhabitants come back like they did in the Witcher and Ghost of T.

I think during the pandemic odyssey grew on people tbh it had an exceptional story and good loot with awesome dlc. People had nothing to do and just said "fuck it let me give this game one more chance"

I have played every single AC more than once and I still think that if Odyssey had the guaranteed assassination, the hidden blade and Valhalla's loot system but the rest of the game was the same(Story, Characters, Map, Abilities, Combat, System) It would have been much better than Valhalla. If you are just starting/still playing Valhalla: Turn off Level Scaling. Turn on Pathfinder Exploration difficulty. Go to Combat settings and reduce enemy health to 75%, increase Eivor Damage Output to 200%, and keep Eivor Damage Received at 100%. Turn off all Interface options except: Contextual Controls, Icons, Critical Messages. Now it will feel like an old-school Assassins Creed game. I'm 30hrs into my first playthrough ever, changed these settings after the first mission. It is now beautifully cinematic, and feels completely different (better) than the core experience of Origins/Odyssey/Vanilla Valhalla.

Funny how different people are. I loved oddessy. it's not an AC game, but its a gret RPG. the skills and gear made some much sense and everything gelled so well together - the gear, the types of enemies, the upgrading..... In valhalla there is so little loot and the runes most of the time do nothing noticeable and I don't even bother with them. The sheer size of ACOD was amazing to me - so much to do. I played that game for so long and enjoyed every side quest, since i simply loved the game loop. In ACV there is so little to do in comparison outside the linear main story. now UBI is releasing so many new armor sets and weapons but there is nothing to do with them. in ACOD there was a NG+ and there were endless quests and new fun contracts weekly and daily. in ACV the reda stuff are HHHHOOOORRRRIIIIBBBBBBBLLELLEEEE since it's the exact same dozen or so contracts all over again. its like they wanted them to be bad so people will buy the gear with money and not play the same "kill the wolf near raventhorpe" for the 100th time. I really enjoy valhalla. i think it's a good None-AC game. my second playthrough is ongoing now and i used a trainer to level up super fast so the new scaling feature means im constantly challenged and have all skills after just 15 hours, and the store items as well. its no where near the NG+ I hoped for but it's still different than my first playthrough.

As long as a game is long, doesn't feel boring, has amazing graphics and the story is engaging. I can see Myself playing it for even 100 hours. Thats why i could play oddysey for 50 hours without feeling burnt out. J stopped playing Oddysey because i was done with all the major stories like the atlantis, cult and family. Thats why i appreciate games like Valhalla Which get so much content.

I loved odyssey, 200 hours of joy. Valhalla, about 10 hours in and it seems pretty basic so far. I do love that the side quests are local and don't send you all over the damn map to fetch.

I love the game and enjoyed it a lot but my main two issues with it are that it’s not replayable, game simply feels dead after you do everything unlike oddysey, and the game is really easy, enemies need to be much more agressive.. Anyway super excited for Infinity!

My favorite thing about this game is probably everyone I've talked to least favorite thing and that is that they have a setting that if you stealth assassinate someone it is a instant kill which it should be if you're an assassin in my opinion I think it is a good balance because this game does not encourage stealth

I like Valhalla a lot. Doing a second playthrough actually. Mainly so I can do a playthrough with the new one handed sword and to get the other ending. Gotta say, still really enjoyable and fun. And with the level scaling, the enemies aren't like children poking you with a toothpick but actual threats

After 20+ hours of gameplay, i can say i love this game. The combat, especially after unlocking some abilities and skills is just awesome. I also like the story. The only issue i have with the game is the AI. Jessuuss! You can easily assassinate a whole "fort" from a single bush, with all AI present at the location. The detection is buggy. I feel like they rushed with the AI just to get the game out given it was supposed to launch with the consoles. All i am hoping for is an update that addresses the issue and even better soon, because the game is definitely an improvement from odyssey

A huge step in the right direction _I_ think they took was allowing players to automate the RPG systems of the game. Want a concrete protagonist? Let the animus choose Eivor's gender based on the situation (which makes much more sense in-story than it sounds). Don't care for skills and perk trees? The game has a system for automatically assigning skill points in a pre-determined path that allows you be generally good at everything. Don't want to spend hours collecting armor to compliment your builds? The armor stats and bonuses are relatively tame in the game, meaning you can just equip what you like. I just wish they pushed that a bit further. I liked (sorta) the dialogue system in Odyssey because it actually had consequences. I played through the game twice, once for completionism the other casually, and got two completely different family endings both times. In Valhalla, that isn't the case. The dialogue options rarely have any consequences not immediately shown in the same quest, and they're all variations on what Eivor (as a pre-determined character) _would_ say in that situation. So why not play into that? Give us an option to turn off dialogue options so the scenes can play through smoothly without any interruptions, giving us a _truly_ canon story to the game with no room for interpretation or character choice.

i'm one of those who played because it's vikings, and i gotta say... i'm very disapointed with the game, Drakkar is a shit to sail (especially in open sea..ugh) there were no rituals, Eivor sided many times with christians (even tho i tried hard to be against all of them), Eivor never trusted espected Ivarr (this one got me mad, for example, when Ivarr brought some head to interogate the queen of Mercia, i sided with Ivarr, but moments later, Eivor got mad at him for doing that...) BUT... the one thing that really..REALLY got me mad, was the Raids... i thought the game would be like that mission in East Anglia, many ships going to raid large and important places... but no, sail along *the thin rivers of england and sound the horn to let your enemies know you are coming... the only upside was the soundtrack of the game...

Curently im playing Origins and i want to say the way ubisoft combined the stealth with fighting just left me stunned. The fightings are awsome and as long as there will be assasinations its a good AC game. Personaly, i like the side quests in Origins i like exploring the ancient Egipt and the quests are somewhat related with the main. People say Origins killed AC but in my opinion Origins is one of the best AC game up to this point

This game's been running terribly on PC for months since one of the updates this January. The update forced the CPU usage to be around 50 instead of 90 to 100 and decreased performance drastically. It's been like seven months and the problem is still not fixed.

At first I hated Odyssey... But once I got the point of what Odyssey stood for... I really enjoyed Odyssey... Odyssey takes place before Assassin’s Creed. Valhalla is a good game... But why is the story so long? I love how stealth is customizable. But if there's anything I have a major gripe on... It's stealth. How can stealth work... When half of the time it doesn't?
