Clickbait Warning: I tried to make a coop mission cinematic lol
So this is very much the Austrian Concpiracy mission on Assassins Creed Unity, but it felt to me that I could scratch the itch for more assassination missions in this game by treating the last part of it just the same. I decided to make it a little bit planned out and added some music. My intention here is not to use a primary mechanic, but to perform a rather cool approach to assassinating Viconte De Gambais and Comte De Gambais. This depiction has a lot of cinematic like events, where you have scripted events in mind, such as openly getting detected for a distraction, or maybe menacingly staring down the target before assasinating them.
About the Target:
The Comte de Gambais (died 2 September 1792) was a French aristocrat, royalist, and a spy for the Austrian monarchy during the French Revolution. As the head of the spy ring operating in Paris, de Gambais provided information to the Austrian forces in order to defeat the revolutionaries and restore the French monarchy. In 1792, Georges Danton with the help of Arno Dorian and other Assassins, destroyed de Gambais' organization by assassinating him and his accomplices, ensuring that France would not be invaded by foreign troops.
My idea of the scripted events:
At the beginning I choose to do a little bit of a distraction, where I get the guards in the courtyard to follow me, so that the space opens up a bit for me, whilst assassinating all snipers in the level that could see me. Then I proceed to infiltrate the building. I use the disguise mechanic to escape and to me it seems fair that Arno could dress up as some of those guards he just assassinated even though it looks horribly ingame. Afterwards I proceed to take out all the guards nearby Comte De Gambais, just so that I can approach him as he slowly recognizes Arno, but not quickly enough to escape his death, which to me its very menacing of an Assassin to do, if we only had more dialogue options and reactions towards this type of gameplay. Afterwards I proceed to escape in an incredible fashion, paired with the immaculate timing of the music.
