I really do love this show for characters like the Principal. Sure, he's twisted, he's terrifying. But they show you WHY. Watching the series more than once through lets you look at the characters like him and just say "Oh. Knowing where you came from, this makes way more sense."

"Oh look ! We just started and here comes the final boss..." (Dk if it's writen like that in English but I love that line !) And yes I totally agree with you on that, the principal is just really well writen, specially in his oppositions with Coro that were so well orchestrated ! And thier rivalry, the fact that they started to teach with a method and then switched to the other's one to finally accord themselves on the same method is pretty well made ! And the character has that aura, that power that make you feel a bit afraid because you don't know what he has in his head, what he thinks !

Music is an utterly incredible thing with the ability to tell a story, and this theme just shows it more than anything: At first glance its creepy, dark, mystic and almost oppressive (which perfectly 100% fits Principal Asano, Karma's character and Kurosensei at this angriest at first glance)....then the brass horns come and it becomes almost tragic, carrying an air of being the sound of someone who carries great pain under thier power...and then you remember that Karma is someone who was utterly failed by the system, Asano Sr became what he became when he lost one of his beloved students to society's vile cruelty and how Kurosensei's absolutely brutal past not only as The Reaper but with Aguri Yukimura truly marked him to change. And then when the electric guitar enters, its almost like saying that these three characters (despite everything thrown thier way) rose to the occasion and became the powerful characters they *for a reason* and nothing will stand in thier way. Its just brilliant musical composition, really.
