I don't know much about Uganda's military politics, but I suspect Museveni and his son fears for their family's ability to govern the country when the old man dies. I suspect Museveni fears that the loyalty that his fellow comrades have had for him, might not be extended to his son. I feel like Museveni suspects that when he dies, the power struggles that existed in Zimbabwe might also occur in Uganda and result in his son being kicked out.

The government of Uganda is so fidgety. 5 years ago i had traveled from 🇰🇪 with my two sons to visit my brother. My brother came to pick me at Nakaawa. But he was a little early. He parked and waited then drove to Nakaawa market and came back to the junction going to Ntinda. I arrived in under two minutes. His car was surrounded by soldiers with blazing guns. When i ledt the little car that had given us a ride more soldiers rushed to quiz the driver they greeted me but i really was not interested in talking to them. They thought my brother was acting suspiciously. Asked him questions but he had his kids in the car. I aslo had kids. The soldiers quickly left. Having wasted precious resources just because of their insecurities.

They were surrounded by Zimbabwean troops and his father had to plead with the late President Mugabe to create a safe corridor for his son and updf soldiers to pass.President Mugabe in his 😂😂😂usual self chided him......This is war.We are not playing games.Why do you send your children? Not Peter Elwelu, but General Katumba Wamala whose daughter was assassinated. He was shot twice, but he was taken to hospital and bleeding was stopped. He survived death. That was M7 and his son Muhoozi who organized the killing.
