I don't think it's random. I think it is a certain pattern for each ability. I just did two in range for time phase and i got a bonus for duration. Try one in duration and one in cooldown for bodyguard. You should get a bonus point in range.

its implemented on purpose: • Every time you use the crafting feature, you will have a chance to be rewarded with a random bonus. One of your ability’s parameters will be enhanced by one point. Bonus points will not affect maximized parameters.

I thought I responded to this video but I guess I was wrong. It is random but if say its between 25% and 33% chance you get your bonus point. Now regardless of that statistic. If you have the ability you want to craft to ever have 2 points in the same category, craft it that way then hope for the bonus point in your allotted free slot as you now have 50% chance it will get there. As opposes to 33% chance if you give it 3 options (ie. You have crafted it one pint in 2 different categories).

you dont have to redo the points you can just hit craft over and over again until you hear the sound

Depending on the stats that's anywhere from 8.25% to 16.5% chance depending on my guess as to how often it provides a point. That's doubling your odds. :-)

Im in level 52 in multiplayer but i cant craft any ablities at all :/ do u have to do somthing in order to craft your abilities?
