First of all, thanks for reading my comment. Glad you liked my feedback :) Secondly, I really enjoyed the comic. My personal highlight was probably Tom Stoddard. The games are under such pressure to make the protagonists paragons of truth and justice, so the player can feel like a big hero. It's refreshing to see an Assassin who's a real bastard, even if it does turn out he has a heart of gold buried deep. It's nice to be reminded that there's good or bad on either side, even if we're used to Assassin's being the good guys. I thought the length of it was a blessing and a curse. On one hand, nothing got set up as well as it could. Charlotte was with the Assassin's within a few pages for no real reason apart from that she thought it was cool. I felt that going into the Animus to find out if Xavier was lying was maybe a bit of a thin excuse to get Charlotte in the Animus. On the other, each chapter was short and action packed, and made me want to read on to the next. I felt like it used to historical setting to good effect (although I don't know much about the witch trials) As for your point about consus, I get the idea that he can communicate with people who have a high enough concertration of precurser DNA. But maybe I'm wrong.

Ubisoft's falling into the same trap as Square did with Kingdom Hearts. *All* KH titels are relevant for the story, but because only a few of them made it on the main console(PS2), and only 2 are called 1&2 (even though chain of memories and 358/2 days happen inbetween 1&2), many don't think of them as important. Which is why many think KH doesn't make any sense. And look at what's Ubi's doing with AC. Important stuff is revealed in "side-projects", not in main games, which most gamers only know of.

Yeah, I feel like it's a tricky balance to manage. On one hand, if you make the side projects meaningless story-wise then that sucks for the people who read them. If you put really important stuff in them, that sucks for the people who don't read them. :(

Personally, I'm holding out for Assassin's Creed II.9 Final Ezio Dream Mix Prologue Finale Collection.

Loomer Except Ubisoft isn't japanese and they don't have to use random sounding titles. But yeah, it is tricky.

Saaaaame about Galina. I remember thinking her characterization was kinda off when reading the first few chapters. I also was honestly not impressed by the art in this (wacky expressions was my main gripe). The Chain, the Fall and Brahman had much better artwork imo. Something you didn't really cover was the plot with Jennifer Querry and David, which didn't make a lot of sense to me? Mostly because it's treated as this realization Stoddard has after Querry died, yet none of Querry's behaviour in the earlier chapters really "fits" with the idea that David was her son. I did like Querry as a character though, I thought she offset Stoddard nicely, being more idealistic.

I think the idea was that Querry was intentionally hiding the fact that David was her son. Probably on some level because Stoddard would see the boy as a conflict of interest with the mission (even more so than it already was).

Hell yeah Alice in Chains! \m/ Not much to add, haven't gotten to the comics yet, but enjoying your insight. I'm slowly making my way through some of the audiobooks - almost done with Forsaken.
