Hello Everyone - I really can't believe this video has been so popular. In 6 years, 190k views. And Arrow uses it like it's their own :) I'll be remaking this video, with a tripod and without skipping the difficult part that requires 2 hands and a clamp. Until then, if you subscribe, I might actually be able to monitize this and make stapler fix-it videos into it's very own channel.

Alright, stapler jammed multiple times. Got frustrated. Took it apart. Despaired. Watched this vid on YT. Cleaned, lubed, reassembled. Cussed a lot, but it works like a champ now. Thanks! Saved me the price of a new one!

You rock! I was nearly convinced my broken PowerShot was headed for the trash, but stubborn me said, “Open it up, have a look and at least see if it’s fixable” so I did and got it working again with much confidence from your video. Thank you so much!

Same as Teresa Morgan....I put wrong size staples in the gun (someone threw a stick of oddball staples in with my T50's....that would be me). Tore it apart....kablewey....parts everywhere and no idea how to re-assemble. Thanks to your video....I now have a 2nd perfectly good powershot. Yep...I ran out and bought another new one to get the job done last night as I didn't have time to figure it out (search KZbin) until this morning. Nice video and VERY helpful! Much appreciated!

Thank you so much! I have a Powershot from the mid-90s and the parts are slightly different but your video was perfect in helping me fix it. My husband helped me with the last bit of putting it together. Your video made me laugh because I did exactly what your wife did with another mechanical device that I broke. So glad to have found this and appreciate you sharing and taking the time.

Hi Larry. Thanks for creating this KZbin. Managed to fix my stapler. The small "metal lug" that locates the thickest end of the plastic wedge had fractured off so I stuck a screw through in its place as a "replacement" before reassembling. All working again. Yay!!

Thanks so much for this video. I opened up my PowerShot stapler to clean it out, and everything just popped out like a jack-in-the-box! I had no clue how to re-assemble it. I watched your video and everything started to make sense. With some time and patience, it's back together and it works like new.

Screw you!! You made it look easy!!! I’ve been struggling with mine. I jammed a staple and took it apart to get it out. Didn’t realize it would explode into pieces that I didn’t know where they go. I’ve spent 1 1/2 hours trying to figure it out, while I’m in the middle of a project. Thanks for showing me where the white piece goes

My 23 year old Powershot stopped working so I went out and bought a new one. The new one could also shoot tacks, but was a worse design as far as the staple loading and loader buttons, it also only worked intermittently. So I watched this video spent an hour re-assembled the old one three times and now it finally works again. Returned the newer non functioning and probably misassembled one with a worse design today. Hope to get another 23 years out of the older better one. : )

Hey Justin, glad you were able to get the tool back together. Typically, you should be able to clear a stuck staple by removing the magazine, as shown here: bit.ly/2LOeUWY. However, if you experience another jam where you cannot clear the tool or if you have other issues with this tool, we'd love to touch base with you directly. Please reach out to us here or at customercare@arrowfastener.com.

Thanks so much for your video. I still can't get mine back together even with these instructions. It all pops apart every time I try to push one part in place. Probably only got 50 staples use out of this Power Shot 5700 before this happened. The plastic guide part is about to break and the little metal hammer won't stay lined up. Hope I can find my receipt. Mine is less than 6 months old and barely used. Disappointed is an understatement.

Arrow Fastener I just did it! At first I was working on the opposite half trying to mirror you since I laid most of the pieces in place until I had time to come back. But it wouldn’t stay in place as easily. Then after switching to your side I ended up using a little c-clamp to keep the front metal piece with the ledge and small metal piece still. Putting in the last 2 screws now.

. This took me 3 hours, the hardest part was getting the curved spring through the notches, it would always slip out. I used a vice grip like you suggested to keep it from sliping out, and when it came time to put the plastic cover on, I slowly fitted the casing through the gap above the staple holder while releasign the vice grip. Took longer than I wanted, but it feels good to get it working again :)
@michaelsarro84796 жыл бұрын
3 hours? what does the tool cost $25? I tossed mine after trying to get it back together for about an hour. Couldn't get front fork to stay inside the hammer. I tried several different ways and whenever I tried to put the top case on it would pop. Time/money, you have to know when to cut your losses. Now my only decision is whether or not to get another one or use the original.

You cut out the most important part, getting that main spring to snap in the back. You have to have bionic strength to get that to snap back. That was the only thing I could not do, so how you did that would have been helpful. Mine is still broke because I can't set the spring.

@mindygehring4673 жыл бұрын
I gave up too. Simple to get it all back together until I reached the part where you have to get the engine/spring over the little edge. Every attempt ended with the whole thing falling apart. After several attempts and very greasy hands, I decided to buy a new one. Safer, easier and well worth the $22 to get a new one. I don't even care that it ended up in the landfill!

I found this piece of crap at the thrift store! I see why someone got rid of it! After the gun kept jamming, I had to take it apart. Watched the video and you skipped the part that I needed help with! What a waste of my time! That engine was a monster. You said I'll be right back and like magic, it was fixed! I threw it in the trash. Won't be back.
@jennifergriffith7 жыл бұрын
It was great up until the part where the engine had to be pushed up in place. Then you said you'd be right back, & suddenly it was in place with no explanation! That's where I'm having trouble; I took the unit apart because there was a broken staple stuck in it. Will check a couple other videos to see how to push the back end of the engine up into its slot...
@larryaveritt68517 жыл бұрын
