Best Instructional video ever!! Rigid should pay you for this content. The parts are so tight in some cases that I would have taken this back if it wasn't for your instructions. I see a lot of folks complaining about the holes are not aligned, but that's because they need a rubber hammer to knock some of them in place. Great Job!

I was really surprised how much cutting power (and torque) this saw had out of the box. I've used other (10" saws) previously and was pretty surprised with the speed and cutting ability of this Dewalt saw.I have bolted mine to a table to minimize movement which I highly recommend.This is a Great saw kzbin.infoUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe with a light to see your cutting line (not a laser line).I'd recommend this saw fro anyone looking to upgrade from a 10" miter saw.

I had to put a clamp across the frame tubes to pull them together enough to get the foot tube in. I also think the clamp rail system is an over-complication, but it does work fine. I’m comparing this to the DeWalt version and trying to choose which one to keep. The DeWalt build quality and paint job is better, but the Ridgid has two huge advantages: 1) the wheel diameter is 50% bigger, making it possible to get it up and down stairs unassisted, and 2) when setting the cart up for use with a saw already attached, you don’t have to lay the whole thing down flat on the ground and then lift all that weight up to the latched position like you do on the DeWalt. People mostly criticize the DeWalt because their cables are out of adjustment, which is dumb - just adjust your cables. These other two issues, especially if you have an aging back, are far more significant. I’m leaning toward keeping the Ridgid and selling the DeWalt. But I do wish the overall attention to detail on the Ridgid were a little better.
@MarriedManWoodworking2 жыл бұрын
It seems you are doing a great analysis and compare. I have been pleased with the RIdgid and never worked with the DeWalt. The larger wheels have made it easier to get up stairs as you said and I have not had any significant issues. Thanks for leaving a detailed comment as I am sure it will benefit others who read it.

Great video. Just letting everyone know... I bought this to go with a Milwaukee Tool 12-inch Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw Model # 6955-20. BUT with this saw, the way it rotates to the mitre spots, the mounting nut and bolts DO NOT WORK. They stick up too tall and don't allow full rotation, plus the back ones stop the saw from extending back. Even if you use their option 2 of mounting on a board, it still wouldn't work. My fix, after 2 days of trying to figure it out, was to turn the mounting bars around, buy new operator side hex nuts and bolts (5/8ths) that can sink in the spots and sawed off the back ones. You have to make sure they can be reachable inside the mounting bars. I like the saw and I like the stand, I'm just trying to make others less frustrated.

@MarriedManWoodworking2 жыл бұрын
So the saw is attached to the brackets and the brackets attach to the stand. You can unlock the lever locks and slide the saw to the left or right. You might want to slide it more to the left to see if that makes it easier to open and close the stand. Make sure to lock the lever locks again when you adjust the position. I will take a look and maybe make a video on this subject. Thanks for watching and commenting. I wish you the best of luck resolving this concern.

I think you did a super job on your video. Did you consider any other stands, maybe the ToolsBuilt S600? I am leaning towards the AC9946 because the handles on the two saw mounts have levers that are protected. They do t stick out like the ToughBuilt. Also something you might want to consider, is adding 2 lockable swivel casters to the handle end of your stand. That said I have very long arms and can reach the locks from the sides. If you can’t reach, I think regular casters are fine. When you collapse it and lock it in place, you can lean the handle against the tailgate and lift from the opposite end and roll it into you bed just like a gurney. Just my 4¢ worth, adjusted for inflation.

Like some of the other posters, {AND in the video, the handle doesn't really fit and had to WD 40 it and beat the heck out of it to get it in. Apparently they don't include good instructions any more and sometimes they don't include them at all. Thanks for leaving a comment.

Can you store it in a vertical position?

Yes. I store mine in vertical position and roll it out when I need it.

Sweet. I’m glad you showed how to almost effortlessly get that behemoth into the bed of a truck. Thanks again!

This video made it an easy decision to finally purchase this stand. Unfortunately RIDGID decided not to include half of the installation parts in the box, so I’ll have to wait another two weeks to be able to finish putting this together. Great job on the step by step instructions as well as the closeup shots.

I am glad it helped. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. It really is a great stand for the miter saw and hopefully you will enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I really liked this cart until I realized that they failed to include actual rollers. Also the older version has nice supporting feet that drop out from the extending (non) rollers. One step forward two steps back.

6:00 so how do you decide like, how it’s attached to the brackets? Should it be centered? Or slid all the way one way? I’m just concerned how I’m supposed to make sure it’s actually even on both sides…

Hey just wanted to say thanks - I've had one of these sitting in my garage for a couple years in the box and the instructions were not the best. Your video made short work of the process and I had mine together fast!

Came for the instructions, stayed for the soundtrack! Thanks - this was much easier than deciphering the manual!

Great video instructions. You should get more credit for the background score you’ve added.

Great instructions. The directions are stupid with pictures in the back and instructions in the front. I really like the table though.
