Assembling 12x20 Arrow Carport from Lowes

So after replacing boat covers several times my wife came up with a solution and purchased a 12ft x 20ft Arrow carport from Lowes. In this video I will be assembling our new carport.

Why not build the higher frames on the ground and then lift them in to place so you don't have to climb on/off ladder? Husband is looking at the 14H model for our RV

I ran machines for Arrow. In the shop we had to hold a sixteenth. Out in the field they went with somewhere in the area of the two holes.

Built one for a friend yesterday. The self tappers were horrible. Some were bent outta the bag and a lot of the heads kept burning off

The kit comes with anchors I just didn't use them in the video bc i ended up putting some rock down and moving it to a different location

I have been looking into a car port to keep my lawn stuff under. What did you think about the fit and finish of the kit you got? Are you going to secure it to the ground? Also- lowkey upset that you didn't end the video by putting the boat under the car port 🤣

Fit and finish is actually great, especially for a 1700$ kit. I did anchor it to the ground and put the boat under it but I actually moved it over to where the boat is parked in the background.

The anchors have been mentioned previously, you didn’t include the tape for the top panels which helps with leaking.

Could it have been anchored into concrete if it had been necessary? I have a concrete RV access that I’m thinking of covering with one of these suckers.

I see no reason why not long as you have a concrete bit

It’s so much easier to assemble them on the ground and pick them up in one piece. You only have to worry about getting each side in the bottom and you are not up on a ladder driving those screws.
