Assembling a WattsCraft hull kit

For those who don’t know why he uses a mallet on the welds, just after the tack is done the weld is still fluid enough and you can bring the sheets closer together.

Why don't you guys use tab and slot? It's an easy to use feature now in solidworks and it would save so much time in assembly; like where the stern plate locates to the hull, or where the temporary form locates to the hull skin. The slots are easy to fill and grind flush.
