Hi happy new year! I have bees on trees I moved the boxes with bees to my property an I have a licking lids so, I have water on frames hopefully the bees are still alive, I don’t paint the cover lids I only burn them inside with the propane flames but I found out they are liking water inside I am thinking to cover with aluminum foil or some other galvanized material and melt some wax inside after I am burning the inside with the burner, hopefully those bees are going to resist until then. Your advice?

What type of plywood are you using? And are the cleats/shims just pine 1xs?

I use exterior grade SFP plywood 3/4". The lumber is 3/4" Spruce (yes 1x).
