Hey man, in step 21 of the enclosure assembly, @ 9:54 in the video... Are there supposed to be holes in the small beam to install the cable mount into? the only holes I see are way too wide for it.
@malachai80 Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes, there are holes to screw the mount into the beam. check if the orientation of your beam is correct. I missed that too (but cut it out of the video 😅 ), but it was possible to unscrew the beam without dissembling the whole enclosure. I just moved the enclosure to protude the table and then I could remove the screws .

@@malachai80 ah yup. I’m an idiot. Thankfully could rotate the beam without taking everything apart. Thanks man, I appreciate it!

How long did benchy tank? IE how fast does it print.. I have the A350T it prints around 25mm no where near the 100mm quoted.. does your hit the 300mm spec?
@malachai807 ай бұрын
The Benchy took 1h 13m. I have not tried how fast it could go as most prints I do are focussing with stability or surface. But I had an A250 before and printed between 30-60mm. The Artisan is considerably faster and I had less issues

I checked what was the fastest speed I have printed so far and it is 160mm from the fast profile in Luban

Great Video ! Just a question do you think this printer will do fine printing TPU and ABS ? lets say basic Medical additive manufacturing

I have not printed them myself but I saw some successful prints of both filaments in the Artisan Facebook Group.

Great video thanks! Cannot wait for mine to arrive! Are there recommended torque values for each of the bolts during assembly or do you just do it by feel?
@malachai80 Жыл бұрын
There are different coloured hex-wrench included with the Artisan, each with a digferent size. The assembly guide shows which colour is to be used - so I also knew which torque to take. 90% of the screws needed the biggest one, so it was very easy Hope your Artisan arrives soon!

@@malachai80 I don't think you understood his question, he said Torque, not hex key size, Torque value is the amount you tighten a screw/bolt in pressure so you don't over or under-tighten them
@malachai80 Жыл бұрын
@@modjo27 you are absolutely right 🤦♂I did it by feel, trying not to overtighten them as the screws are not the hardest material and get worn because of the hex key getting tilted.

How is the noise level? I heard the previous versions had quite annoying noise levels
@malachai80 Жыл бұрын
Ists much better - I had the A250 right off Kickstarter and it was incredible loud: the PSU (which got an replacement later on) and the outtake fan of the enclosure (which I replaced first by a Noctua fan and later by an USB Fan with different speeds) were really bad. The linear modules were noisy too, but by far not in the same range as the fans. The Artisan is in comparison very quiet right from the start, they definitly learn from previous mistakes.

Glad I didn’t purchase the enclosure what a waste of money
@malachai80 Жыл бұрын
Where did you buy it as I have never seen one sold without enclosure (at least at Snapmaker's official shop)? It's not a bad enclosure, but imo a bit of a downgrade from the 2.0 series, as you cannot open the side for an easy access. But it's much denser at least when 3d printing, because I smell nothing, but I have not test it with the laser yet.
