My son and wife bought me the G0861 for my garage shop setup. Your videos were objective, great and spot on. Thank-you! I replayed the barrel lid attachment quite a few times! Still I had pretty much the same experiences, including damaged parts (sheet metal issues incl a crushed cyclone funnel, etc.) and great customer service (I told Grizzly I was able to repair some damaged parts but they sent repl parts anyway in a couple days). Taping a thin strip of packing foam sheet around the Y intake firmed it up. Now waiting for an outlet...

Hi Codeyellow! I plan on doing a review of it over the weekend .... overall I've been very satisfied with it. 1-1/2 hp, dual stage, 20 gal drum, remote start .... I don't have a cabinet saw and purchased it mainly for my planer and jointer for the time being, and no regrets. When I purchased it, it had the features I needed for a small shop, the price was right (although I think price has increased since) and it was in stock and ready to ship .... and customer service is great. So while I would say look around to see what else is out there, which I did, I would certainly recommend it. The one thing i would say is that it is wired for 110 and according to the specs requires a 20 amp circuit. Some people, not all, have found that the breaker would trip on a 20 amp circuit and many had a 30 amp circuit installed and that fixed the issue. Apparently it requires a lot of power on start up and then settles down. To avoid any issues I had a 30 amp circuit installed and haven't had any issues. I've also inadvertently plugged it into a 20 amp circuit and I did not have a problem but again, that is not consistent with all buyers. Depending on your needs you may also want to look at the g0861 and g0862, with 2hp and 3hp respectively. Hope that helps! Dennis
