Thank you so much for this video! I recently bought a cheap movement for practice, but I didn't know what movement it was, because it was advertised as a "2004" movement. After searching for a long time on Google, I found out that it was a 2650 movement. I was curious how to remove the automatic works, and thank goodness your video exists.

I have the automatic version with date complication (non skeletonized) I have yet to find a strip down and rebuild on my model. You did a great job here.

nice video, good camera work and nice music. This was the first movement i ever reassembled ( without the automatic works ) A good beginners movement because they are cheap and relatively easy to work with.

I got a Winner with that movement in, didn't know they made Rolex's as well O.o Think I paid £3 or £4 for the Winner and it is actually a pretty accurate thing.

This is very helpful. I have a watch with the manual wind variant 2650S, the click failed yesterday and I've been looking for some good teardowns to repair it. It's tough finding good info about it so I will definitely be referencing this. It looks like the manual movement is identical aside from some of the bridges on the movement side (and of course it doesn't have the automatic works).

Nice tear down and rebuild. This is such a popular and ubiquitous movement that the family it is a part of even has its own Wikipedia page. For a a little history on this family of movements, click here -> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_standard_movement Despite its low cost, it is actually quite an easy movement to work on, and many of them can be made to perform very accurately.
