Great video. I'm in the process of assembling the 14X20. Yes the Z parts are a pain. After dropping a few of them on the upper section, I used hot glue to hold them in place. Worked like a charm for the top roof section panels. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the lower roof sections.

If you use a drill driver on a lower setting it won’t strip the screws and a lot faster. An impact driver you showed will for sure strip it, to much power
@OutdoorsUnsupervised Жыл бұрын
I learned not to. I worked in pil change for 1 8 years. I will never use a drill on screws to start them off. Always hand thread a d on aluminum jusy dont use them at all. Just my preference from experience
@endurence2005 Жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorsUnsupervised completely fair. I’ve seen so many folks strip the shit it of screws. It’s better not to use power but only if they know or just generally more comfortable with hand.

What I did for the roof panel clips was fold up small pieces of masking tape and wedge them inside the clips before putting them on and that keep them from falling off.
@OutdoorsUnsupervised Жыл бұрын
f that lol. They should come better to put on than havin' to rig that up. I actually just put this together again for my Mom. IO had moved a month after installin' this so I took it down and just put it up for her. I had a lot better luck since I am a pro at it now. any ideas on how to install a downspout from the gutter to the floor area so that the water just doesn't drip down from the gutter?
@OutdoorsUnsupervised8 ай бұрын
not sure, I have no leaks
@greyhaircapitan8 ай бұрын
You can attach a hose but it would not look nice. Also, with a huge rain, the gutters don't work - water is spilled over.

Great video btw. I have my roof framing up (thanks to help from my wife), but I have come to an impasse. I cannot figure out how to install P and Q struts that frame the bug shield panels. I keep looking at the booklet, but my attempts to install them have me at a loss. Any tips on how to install these 4 pieces?
@OutdoorsUnsupervised11 ай бұрын
Ty. Is it the flimsy metal pieces?. Just the short pieces onnthe shirt side long pieces on the long. It has an "R" that bolts in the corners. Had took this down and put it back up a couple weeks ago for my Mom. I am tired of puttin' it together now lol

@@OutdoorsUnsupervised Another issue I have is the last storm we had the galvanized coating came off on one side, looks like it's steel underneath and is starting to rust.
