At 3:30 you should have stopped adding to that bowl-shape. Set it aside, then build a separate bowl-shape with the remaining pieces. Once you have 2 half-shells, fit them together.

I think there are only 30 rubber bands. not 32. I found this in two ways. Each black piece had 3 rubber bands in each cross section and each rubber band went through 2 black pieces each. there were 20 black pieces so 20*3/2 is how many rubber bands there are. Each white piece held 5 rubber bands each and there were 12 white pieces but again, each rubber band touched two white pieces each so 5*12/2 is how many rubber bands there are.

This is a very nice set of shapes to play with. It would be very simple to make this a true puzzle by marking the sides of each shape in a way that you have match the marks on each side. This could be done with colors, numbers, notches and protrusions, or you could even attach magnets in the sides that would hold everything together when assembled correctly and push everything apart at the mismatched sides.

Would assembly be a tad more stable if each tab where the rubber band loops around had a depression to help keep the rubber band from slipping off the end of the tab?

a couple of questions... would it assemble easier if the if the edges of each piece were completely beveled thus the tension of the rubber bands would draw it into proper shape automatically and second, would it be easier to assemble starting with white-black-black-white rather than white-black-black ? just some food for thought :)

Not necessarily; the simple act of aligning the two halves could cause them to fall apart as the constrictive forces of the rubber bands shifts.

Pretty cool but it don't have the tapered angles it requires on the edges. If you make more hexagons and pentagons, taper the edges to the correct angles and it will be 10- 20 times stronger after assembly.

This video doesn't give a fair attribution. It's nearly a copy of my own design and procedure, and it makes no mention of either my assembly or construction videos. I want to play nice, but I can't approve of this. I understand that you gave credit on the other video, but this is a separate piece of work. You should have stated the source material explicitly, and provided multiple links. Now that I see it has exceeded my original in views, I find it an irksome and distasteful example of poor form. Proper attribution is what keeps video makers from being devoured by the wolves: surely you've had one or two of your own videos stolen by this point. Credit should be given where due. Please don't ignore this comment.
