Assessing and Addressing Social Determinants of Cardiovascular Health (Yvonne Commodore, PhD)

This lecture will provide an overview of methods to assess and address social determinants of health in diverse settings to advance cardiovascular health equity.
Objectives:
1. Identify and understand the key social determinants of health (SDOH) contributing to cardiovascular health disparities, such as socioeconomic status, education, housing, access to healthcare, and environmental factors.
2. Explore evidence-based strategies and best practices for assessing and measuring SDOH at the individual, community, and population levels.
3. Discuss innovative interventions and policies to address SDOH and promote cardiovascular equity
