I first started healthy keto and IF just over 3 years ago after watching some of your videos. I'm 76 now and feel wonderful! I recently started dry fasting after watching one of your videos; I watch them every day. Since I started dry fasting I've noticed some very positive changes on top of all the benefits I had previously. Your suggestions really work so I want to thank you for all your hard work and research.

So, I gained a lot of weight after being prescribed the wrong depression meds. This was in 2020. I have been watching your videos and learnt to fast the proper way in 2024. 2024, I have lost the excess weight and I have fixed my self esteem for good. Also, those wrong meds screwed my pancreas it seems - i developed pre-diabetes. I couldn't stop eating - it made my stress eating worse and gained God knows how many kgs. Today, I'm happy to keep my weight good and look how I want to look. And i feel super light and have lots of energy too. Fasting fixed a lot of my issues. I'll not stop fasting. I'll keep it going. Shout out to Dr. Eric Berg 😎

Keto has been great for me especially since I got my lab results back, better mental clarity, feeling like flying to the moon leaving the doctor office. LDL cholesterol 52 My LDL always was in the 200's ..... I had stopped taking my cholesterol medication the first part of this year and I started taking vitamin E 2 times a day and fish oil 4 times a day, using olive oils on my salad 7 days a week...I started walking more than usual was eating more seeds and pistachios nuts, I took Dr.berg advice on spouted sunflower seeds, pumpkin Seeds, avocados and more.

Here are some results: -Much more energy, particularly in the morning -Better cognition (I'm studying and reading like never before) -Better digestion -Much lower stress and anxiety -Less arrythmia and palpitations -Less tiredness, weakness and nerve related issues -I didn't had weight issues, but I clearly see that I'm losing fat (specially belly fat) -Less inflammation and backpain issues I think I'll continue doing it indefinitely

Dr. Berg. I started fasting 10 years ago with a 24 hour fast workout. Eventually, I added a couple 18 hour fasts a weeks & finally did a few 48 hour fasts/year and 72 hour fasts a year. I do not have a thyroid due to thyroid cancer. I ended up having a surgery that stressed adrenals, lowered thyroid and increases blood sugar. My doctor asked me to stop dating because I was actually gaining weight while fasting several times a week.😢

Parroting Dr Berg notes🦜 The root cause of over 80% of chronic illnesses is insulin resistance. Fasting can help fix this problem. Fasting triggers survival genes and allows your body to use fat and ketones for energy. It takes about 3 days to get into ketosis. When fasting, don’t eat if you’re not hungry. It’s important to let your body tell you how long to fast. Fasting makes your cells more sensitive to insulin and does not raise cortisol levels. There are 2 types of fasting: water fasting, which means no food, and dry fasting, which means you don’t consume food or water. Dry fasting can be even more beneficial because you trigger dehydration genes that can enhance weight loss. Fat can be converted into water for hydration while fasting. Dry fasting benefits also include enhanced autophagy and more detoxification in the liver. If you’re fasting and you notice your hair is falling out or you lose your cycle, you might not be getting enough protein. Grass-fed red meat is the best source. It provides amino acids, trace minerals, B vitamins, and more. Ensure you’re getting enough sea salt and plenty of sleep. Magnesium and zinc are also essential. You need about 400 mg of magnesium and 50 mg of zinc. Thank you Dr Berg! 😺👍

I'm very concerned about one of my favorite KZbin health channels that used to promote fasting is now saying she's changed her mind and there's no difference in weight gain between a 18:6 IF and eating every 2 hours a day because it's just the calories that matter. I replied how does spiking insulin all day equal spiking 6 hours a day but got no response back. I'm sticking with fasting since it has done so many good things for me.

I prefer dry fasting, and of course, no electrolytes are to be taken during a dry fast. Dr Dunning said that once those fat cells are used for anhydrous water production, then those fat cells are destroyed, unlike water fasting because they just shrink. Enjoyed the video. I, too, believe in not eating past 2 or 3 pm.

It's a wealth of Fasting and Ketogenic eating information. Dr Berg also has great recipe books. I eat better on keto than I ever did before! Just remember green veggies first at beginning of every meal to put a feeding bed down on your microbiome so the rest of the meal doesn't spike glucose as high. Sometimes I just grab a handful of parsley arugula and salad greens before breakfast of eggs and Brussel sprouts.
