This is the simulation definition. You have realism and have to practice a lot for doing a decent lap. A lot of practice! It’s not easy, and we only doesn’t have the g force. But yes, you have to improve your technics, and learn the in-out of every turn of the tracks.

Yes but penalties are just like in the real racing. That said, you'd need to cut the track at least 3 times to get penlized and you dont get time penalties for causing an incident
