Without a doubt, this is the closest game to GT7 in terms of car models. That said, I still think GT7 has the edge when comparing the cars, particularly in the finer details. The difference is most noticeable in the headlights, taillights, and the smoother geometry on GT7's cars. What truly sets GT7 apart is the exceptional paintwork. They've done a fantastic job replicating real-world paint, which makes a significant difference in the overall look. I really wish Assetto Corsa Evo (ACE) had a photomode right now so I could do side-by-side comparisons, or even VR support in the showroom to inspect the cars stitch by stitch. From what I’ve seen in ACE's showroom, though, the car models are top-tier quality. That said, GT7's advantage lies in its extensive car roster, with over 500 cars. Competing with that is no small feat in the car department. Nevertheless, ACE will continue to improve and add more cars. I doubt there will be any major graphical upgrades after early access, as that's rarely the case, but the game will likely become more polished over time. Ultimately, the modding community will play a big role in keeping ACE alive and thriving, if modding support becomes available, that is. Before I go, I have to say that in-game, the car models in third-person camera maintain better LOD (Level of Detail) in Assetto Corsa Evo. Inside the cars, GT7 seems to have slightly lower LOD in comparison. I think Assetto's in-game models are really well done overall. That said, I don’t see them improving much beyond this point.

And its good for being a such small team. I do think within time ac evo could even aim at causals, Because its going to feature a lot of stuff we love about gran turismo and tdu.

GT7 at times has muting and also sky reflections to help with making it "look more real", but its actually doesn't look more real if you know what you are looking at. 2:05 for example, 1 frame after the shadow of the bridge. The reflections of the GT7 example to the left are not actually reflecting properly the surrounding. Looks impressive, but its not realistic. You can extrapolate this to many parts of this comparison. Car details are not better, they are worse. 0:02, left headlight rather obvious over the rear light the geometry on the GT7 model. The geometry also as it goes inward is bad. The ACEVO version looks like it has actual depth there and that the glass has also depth. Also another example of much better materials and reflections, the outer plastic glass of the light, in ACEVO. Even the keyhole in the bonnet. I mean, you mention the keyhole vs the Alfa Romeo example you have on the door, but here its not evident that ACEVO has more detail in the model by far? Still on 0:02, GT7 looks actually rather bad there. Meanwhile ACEVO has much more depth and realism to it. Better materials better lighting better shading better shadows and again better depth over all. Also better geometry. Both car and surroundings. Curious btw, does the S2000 not have that keyhole just during races and its present in showroom? Or is it missing in showroom? This proves 1 of 2 things in my opinion and idk which is worse. Either that yes the only place its better is in a showroom (if it has a keyhole), or, if it doesn't have the keyhole in the showroom version as well that we kinda "like to pick cars" that might favour the comparison. Idk which is true, and its not my place to say. Only thing that looks better is the headlights, the interior material itself. Thats about it. There is also in many areas soft shadow mapping on GT7 under the car and colour muting, this helps with the "realism" because people are simply conditioned to think this is the case. It is not. Real life is more saturated than people actually seem to even understand. GT7 also uses some really nice camera blooms and glares that add a lot to the overall result. This can literally be changed btw in ACEVO already between the 7 filters it has atm (Cinema 1, 2, 3, Default, Natrual 1, 2 and 3), each changing slightly the effect. Then there is the veil effect as well. Its hardly as much of a win as some are making out to be. The models are actually tied. They are worse in geometry during races, some materials are worse, some better, others just different and its anyones guess which one might subjectively look better. Id give the games a tie in the car detail department. In the environment and track department its not even a comparison. And all this in early access too. Idk how much ACEVO will improve visually for launch if I am being honest, many people are of this impression that it will look better. Personally I think EVO will look almost the same on launch. Same geometry detail, materials, shadows, etc etc etc. I think they are going to work more on content, and some added effects like smoke, particles, better volumetric lighting (which even ACC seems to have more of) rather than geometry lighting and materials. People I think are getting their hopes up for no reason. And in the end, its already a tie. I think its the after part that will come that will truly make the game shine. They said they are going for a platform that can be built on. From modders and themselves, for many years. If this is the case and they manage it, then yes, it will surpass the competition quite a bit in all areas. But even now, overall it is still better. As a whole package rather than trying to pick the 1 aspect that GT7 might be closer to compare with. I mean car geometry is great and all, but if I could pick better overall image, cars and tracks, or superior cars and worse tracks, I would pick the first every time. The car is half the part of the immersion. Its the world you drive it in that makes the other half. If we make a proper comparison instead of pick appart just what aspects suit us, ACEVO already looks a lot better. I still love the way GT7 looks. It is amazing. Sounds like I am hating but only because I see such bias approach. The game launched 2022 people. lol. Many of you are acting like its some amazing feat. It was 4 years after ACC, and from a studio with x10 the budget xD Doesn't impress me much. The biggest issue I have with GT7 is the physics. And even bigger issue with the people defending the physics in it. Its quite bad in many areas. But GT7 fans would defend it so much its tiring, and annoying, then they would move on to something else that they can cherry pick about, car details..... in showrooms only no less. lol. Come on guys, we have had enough of this already. Just bloody be honest and unbiased for once. I have seen people in comparisons with dim lighting in GT7 say "said other game is too saturated whilst GT7 is more realistically lit" then in better lit locations "GT7 is more vibrant with rich true colours and said other game is not" and the goal posts change back and forth and the mental gymnastics would give anyone an aneurism. "its not a racing simulator its a driving simulator" is another one. Whatever the fk that means. lol. AC was driving too after all the modding with free roam and what not, but ok then we got the next argument "that is with MODS, GT7 has no MODS!", idk how that is something to say in favour of GT7 btw, the answer to that is "exactly, GT7 has no mods so its worse, lol"... Constant goal posts, one after the other. But ok, lets take modding out. What is the new excuse now? ACEVO is also (by GT7 fanboy standards) a driving simulator. It even has open world. And in Early Access already is more realistic. I am curious to hear the next goal posts. Honestly, just such a tiring biased bunch. That is why I sound so tired of GT7 and its existence as a whole, when (physics aside) its actually a great game. Meanwhile Forza is not even in the conversation.... lol... ok, ​@@jordank98, lemme clear some things. 1. The way that the camera fixes to the car is for precision, sure it's not as fun. But if you want your braking points to be precise it needs to be fixated, specially when you use track objects that are far from the car. 2. saying ACE will be a better platform on the long run could be possible if modders take their hands on it. BUT, because of the large hardware requirements, it seems hard that more people can afford to have a decent pc build for ACE to install mods, which was possible in AC because it has lower requirements, it literally can run on a potato. So it's possible a large amount of people will stay on AC, at the end of the day it has lower requirements to run decent, and it already has a large mod community. ACE has potential, but Kunos has to play their cards wisely, because I find it hard that GT7 fanbase will switch over.

Gt7 Surprisingly, it's still the racing game with the best graphics. It is by far the one that looks the most natural, the one that best replicates what real life is like in terms of colors, lighting and atmosphere.

GT7's HDR isnt rendered properly hence why it looks like the Deep Forest Raceway gameplay 3 years ago with the Murcielago a.k.a it looks weird, but I dont doubt the game still looks better than Evo thanks to the paintwork but truth be told, Evo looks better than any Forza. Might be either a recording error or a HDR to SDR conversion error when rendering the video.

This is why I don’t like doing comparisons on PC, GT7 loses the HDR pop and sharpness when going through the capture card. It never looks as good as it does at home on your screen, which is a real shame. I even use high-end capture equipment, the best you can get, but it still loses quality. Then, Premier Pro compresses it further, and KZbin takes another bite out of the quality. It’s frustrating, honestly. I didn’t mention this in the video, though, because people would just argue that I’m making excuses for GT7.

Tesla's panel gaps are uneven and change as your car is used, which shows poor craftsmanship overall, but oftentimes, they look great off the showroom floor. That said, the problems with Tesla's panel gaps are odd and change with use, and sometimes their too small off the assembly line or way too wide. When the gaps between body work are too narrow, using the improperly fit part can cause damage to adjacent parts.

Camera angle is still the best on Gran Turismo. Every racing games has the same issue with camera, too much angle from the roof that gives the impression the rear of the car is disproportionate compared to the front. It may not be a big deal for a lot of people but to me this is the kind of detail that makes Gran Turismo much appealing when playing in third person.

You can completely customize the camera in AC Evo. Bring it closer or further, up or down, change the angle, and of course the FOV. The lack of changing the FOV in GT always annoyed me, everyhing seems so small.

@@Nago15I remember Project Cars let you adjust the FOV of each individual camera angle which was sick because I prefer a wider FOV on the hood view but perhaps a narrower one in third person. They also had that realistic first person view where the camera would turn towards the apex when cornering, which I really liked. About the only thing Project Cars did well, unfortunately.

And it looks the best in VR currently among these three. I might be wrong but I tink ACE had different FOV setting for each camera and I remember seeing something like turning to the apex in the camera settings, but have to check it to make sure.

EVO requires like 50% more hardware than the PS5 yet looks worse than Gran Turismo 7 (without ray tracing) and performs less efficiently. The car models are decent so far, reminiscent of Driveclub particularly at the headlights. The driving experience stands out as its strongest feature, which is ultimately what matters most to its target audience. That said, the early access price feels $10 too high for its current state (pre-alpha, lol). We can only hope for future improvements from here.

Actualy graphics not important in such a games. You only gonna look at it when you boot the game first time. Then never gonna notice it. Important thing is performance. And assetto corsa evo makes terrible job at it. You can not play the game with 10fps but you can play with 10 years old graphics.

This is so wrong it's not funny. His capture card does not capture 4k 60 with HDR enabled. Yet he keeps recording with HDR turned on on the console. He needs TO STOP recording Forza and GT in HDR. Doing this gives you a washes out image, because the colour spaces are wrong. He does it because he says Forza is too dark. HDR clips recorded direct from Xbox do not display in HDR at all on KZbin for some reason. But if you have a pc, and want to capture HDR footage, you need a capture card able to record 4k 60 HDR.

I don’t get it either, people talk about Early Access (EA) like the game is going to look 10x better upon release. In my experience, that’s rarely the case. Take ACC (Assetto Corsa Competizione), for example. It looked the same when it came out of Early Access; the only difference was that it became more polished. People kept saying, “Wait till it’s fully released,” but there were no drastic visual upgrades. Another thing to note is that GT7 isn’t even a true next-gen game. It was designed to run on the PS4, so while it’s optimized for the PS5, its foundation isn’t built around next-gen capabilities.

Does it look like this on your PS5 Pro? When I had the PS4 Pro I noticed this and thought it was the PS4 Pro, when I bought the PS5 it was the same. I think it's a GT7 bug that they didn't see until today. I got the Bugatti Chiron and looked at the car from the side, the dashboard and steering wheel are horrible. I hope Polyphony fixes this. 👍

Both "sims" have got different tyres to choose from, and there's no info on which tyres are used in these videos. Plus it could be that a controller is used for this video. And I'm sure there's more smoothening for controller inputs in GT than in Evo which is made for the usage of wheels.

As I said somewhere else, graphically it looks good enough to the point I won't exactly complain. Not much, at least. Like there is a washed out look to ACE, but not to the sense it looks horrible. I could be able to bare it the way it is, but honestly, once the mods come in, I'd be modding it. Lol. I wonder if another "pure 2.0" mod will be made for this one like AC1 got not too long ago that made it actually look like GT7. That would be sweet to see on this new ACE engine.

I think they both look good. Gt has always relied on over contrast and saturation. Its why evo looks washed out in comparison. Its all personal opinion. I main iracing so i could care less about graphics if the physics and ffb are up to par.

potential in Evo is huge, the visual base is stronger than GT7, but they still have to put in a lot of polishing work, especially lighting. if you would add polish to the Evo footage it would look better than GT7. GT7 here looks better because of the proper lighting, but textures, geometry, foliage, trackside clutter etc is from a technical standpoint better in Evo.

Ich spiele sehr gerne GT 7 und halte es für ein gutes Spiel aber die Kameraführung in der 3 rd person Perspektive ist unmöglich, da finde ich die von AC EVO weitaus besser. Try making these changes in the steering settings that someone posted: Speed Sensitivity - 96%. (70% is default - I ended up going with with 80%) Steering Filter - 78%. (20% is default - I ended up going with 50%) Steering Assist Weigth - 0% (this eliminate any assist on the steering input, make it match your input and provide the best responsiveness accuracy) I found it helped for me.

This is a track comparison, and the cars are in 2nd gear to stay close to each other; otherwise, all you'd hear are high revs, you weapon. I’ve already showcased the sounds in this game and made multiple videos comparing various aspects. Now wait for the reshades, I already did my own. ACE smokes GT7 even on the PS5 pro with reshade. I agree without tweaks GT7 looks better though. So the Devs out of the box did a better job with GT7. The GT series always have one of the best colors. But PC gaming is so dynamic you can change the graphics pretty easily. My ACE is really sharp with realistic colors, it's more beautifull then gt7 which you can expect with a new demanding title.
