Forza sounds hyper real… and the slow flames out of the rear look weird. A bit too much. Asseto Evo sounds pretty good. GT external is a bit synthetic, but interior ain’t bad and to be fair… the three cars I’ve had in real life, sound most close to GT7… but I think you need a bit more in a game to boost the atmosphere. I think Asseto Evo is a good in-between. Looks wise Forza is not good. Evo looks pretty awesome already! GT7 is a good benchmark and looks fantastic.

GT7 is the only game that actually gives you REAL stock exhaust sounds. Every racing game today their stock exhaust to sound like it has a muffler or resonator delete to attract casual players. IRL, straight from the factory due, most cars sound like ass or very underwhelming. GT is like the only game that honors that.

I love AC for what it wants to achieve but i feel that it could leverage more of the current computer power. It is compiting with Gran Turismo 7 that runs on something similar to a RTX 2070. In that regard i think it is falling short. For example, the paviment is so simple in AC that is just ridiculous. Are those small details that give inmersion to a game

Overall I'd have to say Assetto Corsa Evo seems to be the best already. It's quite close, they all look amazing tbh but I'd say Evo and Forza are a bit ahead on graphics and sound, yet Evo has the edge imo. The lighting is better and seems more realistic, and the sound is, while very cool in Forza, not as over-exaggerated, it sounds more natural. And it's still early days which is amazing. Plus you know that all of this is joined with far superior physics/handling compared to Forza. They all are pretty amazing though and Forza does look pretty stunning. The night sky on GT7 is unbeatable though! Wow. Very high resolution clear starry night sky. I hope Evo can replicate that. Would be quite a sight in the open world of Nordschleife just driving around as the day dynamically turns to night, all in VR....would be awesome.

The tracks look exactly as the real ones in GT7 (as well as the car models). The lightning and color spectre is more photorealistic in GT7. In ACE and Forza the gear shift does not move as a real one. Also in both games the steering wheel move weirdly. In all games the motor noise is different but is far less loud in GT7. Overall, GT7 has a bigger attention to details.

Let me break it down. GT7 has a significant advantage because it’s only built for two specific pieces of hardware-Sony PS4 and PS5. That’s it, just two models to optimize for. On the other hand, Forza and EVO have to work on millions of different PC configurations as well as Xbox, which uses entirely different hardware. PCs can have AMD or Intel CPUs, iGPUs, and even Intel Arc GPUs, all adding layers of complexity. This kind of cross-platform development is far more challenging than working with just two static machines. We all know how even minor hardware differences can create big problems

I just hope people don't start comparing the physics of AC Evo to Forza and GT7, just the graphics...[get ready for a whole lotta yap] (I've been using a wheel since 2017 btw) I used to play forza a few years back and switched to strictly sim about a year and a half ago. When tried out Forza 8 I was deeply disappointed by the physics and graphics. I haven't played GT7 but according to the multitude different reviews I've seen from pros, its arcadish or bordering on sim-cade level at best but very fun to drive. If you're on controller then its best to not worry about the physics, just how well they play on controller (which Forza has always done best imo). One thing that AC Evo does better than any other racing game is suspension and weight physics in my opinion. IRL, road cars have much softer suspension than what any other games suspension physics has apart from AC Evo, which has replicated better than most games already and is on the right track to make improvements. In AC Evo, weight transfer in the corners is quite nice and using the brakes to turn keep the weight on the front-end during cornering is more exaggerated and realistic compared to most games. Forza 8 tries to represent this too but it just physics are too simplistic. FFB sucks on AC evo for non-Direct-Drive wheels the, it feels a bit dull and I'm using a Thrustmaster T248. As far as graphics go, I think Forza is the worst with its inaccurate laser scans on cars and its dull color tone. GT7 is very consistent and has pretty good track details, but the front-end behavior on the cars is very weird mid corner. AC Evo has the better lighting engine, most accurate laser scans for cars (so far), and better detailing on the track for things like tire marks and curb/Kerbs shapes. It has a huge optimization issue though, so it's hard to enjoy the graphics when the fps is trash right now. Also, I can't get meta quest link to work even though it "supports" it (Open XR in the link app doesn't work for it despite being in dev mode). As far as camera physics go, Forza feels more immersive, AC Evo is really good in terms of hardcore sims, and GT7 has a good interior view but 3rd person sucks.

finally someone that agrees with me, gran turismo has always had a vacuum cleaner sound. i dont know how to describe it but it sounds like the engines are doing no work, like the car is sat on a dyno and not actually on the ground.

I'm telling you: the graphics at EVO are a disaster. Maybe they've improved in terms of simulation, but in terms of graphics it's really a step backwards. I own ACC and will not buy EVO. Maybe I'll pick up Forza Motorsport the next time it's on Steam to play or test it out.

I think that Gt7 has the best first person camera of the three it looks the closest to real life forzas first person cameras are either really washed out or way too dark like theyre trying to hide the low quality interior they've been using since the 360 era
