Assetto Corsa on the Oculus Rift DK2 / Logitech G27

It IS as good as everybody says :) DK2 with G27 and a buttkicker. The best racing experience you can have at home bar none!
To get the game working for me:
Set Rift as Primary monitor, then turn it off (defaults monitor back to primary)
Launch the game and IMMEDIATELY turn the Rift on (steam loading give you a little time)
Once game loaded, turn off Rift to select options / setup race
Hit "Start" to begin race and IMMEDIATELY turn the Rift back on.
Game now plays on Rift, and you can hit CTRL + Space to center your view.
Others have dragged the menu back over to there monitor (works best, but doesn't work for me). Either way, minimal trouble for the fun you'll have :)

Very good video, it´s hard to describe how good the Rift and Assetto Corsa are together but you did a really good job here! I also enjoy it alot and can´t think of driving with a normal monitor again.

***** I think I started repeating myself on some of the praise because I ran out of compliments for it :) The framerate is solid at 75, low persistence works so there is no blur, and even after an hour driving around I wasn't the least bit dizzy. Once they get the menus sorted, it will be the perfect racing experience :)

Just picked got a DK2 and there's no going back on flight sims. It's truly revolutionary to the simulator genre.

I'm going to have to endure monitors for a while longer. Just bought a sim racing cockpit so I guess I'll have to scrape together some more, but honestly, I enjoy watching the reviews right now, I'll get the real deal when it's out.. the customer version.

By the way, if you can still get hold of it somewhere, check out Richard Burns Rally ,which was modded late last year to work on DK2. www.theriftarcade.com/richard-burns-rally-mod-adds-rift-support/ One of the greats in the pantheon of Sim racing, on DK2....Sensational! (which is possibly the only adjective you forgot to use in that video ;)

I have dk1, just ordered my dk2.. to obtain the frames u have could u tell me your pc specs..I currently run amd 1090t 6core, 8gig ram, evga 760FTW.. and I'm about to upgrade.

Yeah, how the f do I get my g27 to work while oculus home is running. As soon as Oculus launches the wheel is completely disabled!

Kim Rene Mossige I hadn't been using any, but my brother started using simvibe and has nothing but great things to say about it, so I'll be giving that a go shortly.

Doesn't the buttkicker vibrations disturb the Oculus Rift? I mean if you "vibrate" and wear the Oculus, the image is vibrating too? thx

djhio Nope, haven't noticed any problems with it. It shakes the seat, but it doesn't bounce you up and down, so not enough to disturb the Rift.

SparkiiInc Which game? Some have native support (built in) some require 3rd party drivers like Vorpx / Tridef / Vireio, and others just don't work at the moment.
