Question is why Vedanta wants to delist. Obviously for profit. So there is some hidden value in the Company which promoters want to siphon off. Their track record is also dubious. I have experienced it at the time of buyback of Sterlite Industries.

What was buy back price of Sterlite? Which year?

@@goutammukherjee6573 It was somewhere in 1998 at Rs. 140/- or so. Company sent cheque directly for every shareholder without their prior consent. If you deposit cheque that means you are agreeable for buyback. Most people innocently deposited cheque without realising implications. Real story is ahead. Within few months Sterlite Industries share price was jacked up from 100/- to 1000/- and everyone like me felt cheated.

I think, retail investors abstain from the process of delisting as there is no role for them in deciding prices and whether they want or not the company will be delisted. But one have equal opportunity to sell one's share at delisted discovered price or counter offer price during a year, then why puzzling.

I think Vedanta promoter/ management already managed extra money for offer the price for 200rs/share . But they did not disclosed it publically . So I think delisting will happen 100% . Because management knows there fair value is near 250 rs .
