Is it just me or does anyone else want to see the protagonists react to their typing? I can assume Tsunami would flip a desk over for being typed Water-Fairy and not Water-Fighting.

Hmm.. I agree with you on most of the list, but I’d class SeaWings as Water/Fighting, because of their tails. And I’d also like to talk about Typhoon. He isn’t a major character, but he was instrumental to stopping Darkstalker by getting the earrings to the IceWings - the events at Jade Mountain never would have happened if he didn’t do that. He deserves a type too. And obviously, that type has to be Water/Ice. I rest my case.

Loved this take! I did one ages ago, but I didn't really write them down Dragon, flying, and normal types are all the same, since every character in wof is a flying dragon (except for the few without wings) so dragon and flying are thrown out. Mud wings I figure are ground and water, same as you, so not much difference there Sea wings are pure water, except for ones like anenome who are water psychic. Rain wings are poison and fairy, because the sun kinda rejuvenates them, and their poison fangs Night wings are pure dark, with future seers, mind readers, and animus being dark psychic Ice wings are pure ice, some used to be ice/psychic but that moved on with their animus gene. Sand wings are fire poison, except for cases like sunny (barbless) who are pure fire. Sky wings are fire lightning, firescales are pure fire, while fireless are normal Silk wings are pure bug, flamesilks are bug/fire Hive wings are bug/dark Leafwings are pure plant, leafspeak being plant/psychic.

You should make a video on Assigning Dragon classes (A grouping system for specific species of dragon that share similar traits, example: Tidal class, this group of dragons are found in the sea. Obviously we can put Tsunami & the rest of the Seawings in there.) from HTTYD (How to train your dragon) To each Wof tribe. I'd love to see what classes you put the Wof dragons into!

My choices would be similar I’d change a few things though: Mud: Ground/Water (Red eggs Rock/Water) Sea: Water/Fairy Sky: Flying/Fire (Firescales have the “Perilous Blaze” ability, yes I did make that up just make that up, fireless are pure Flying) Rain: Poison/Fairy Sand: Ground/Poison (Have the “Blaze” ability) Ice: Ice Night: Dark (Moonborns Dark/Psychic) Silk: Bug (Flamesilks Bug/Fire) Hive: Bug/Poison (Those with no powers are pure Bug) Leaf: Grass (Leafspeakers Grass/Psychic, I also imagine all the Poisonwings to have the ability “Guts”

I have been thinking of what monster from monster hunter WoF characters would be. I have: Clay - Barroth Tsunami - This was hard, but I said Jyaratodus Glory: Chameleos Starflight: Gore Magala (they both bliiind) Sunny: Shigaru Magala Moon: Malfestio Winter: Barioth Peril: Aknosom Turtle: Also hard, I said Royal Ludroth Qibli: Monoblos Kinkajou: Ratha, since she defeated a god just like Ratha defeated Oltura Blue: This was VERY hard. I said Rachnoid Cricket: Seltas Sundew: Rajang, cause they both have anger issues :p Scarab: Congalala since they both have a scent Wasp: Seltas Queen Sora: Bazelguese Flame (this could work for Scarlet, too): Scarred Yian Garuga And I have lots more ideas

I’d say Sunny is fire fairy, even though she doesn’t have any magical or dark countering abilities, she has the animus gene, which allows her children to have a chance at being animus dragons, which means she is capable of making animus dragons

I'm just going to start off the comment by saying Pokemon is also my favorite series, I've been playing it for as long as I could remember, Wof is a pretty cool book series I just haven't read books that much since 2020 but I'm slowly making my way back I also agree on the animus magic being a hidden ability thing, maybe it could boost a stat of a pokemon at the cost of lowering another stat? Idk much about competitive though I'd also like to imagine leafwings being either grass/poison or grass/fairy since yk, they're in different groups, sorta like regional varients but they're on the same region I did originally think about all skywings being fire type since they're like western dragons and the tribe I associate with fire the most, but now that I think about it it probably should be just for firescales I'd like to think that hybrids could be like shinies, maybe? They're cool and pretty rare just like shinies I just thought of something else, maybe those special tribe abilities could be signature moves but idk about that one since then basically the whole tribe could learn it

I made my own list before watching this so i wouldnt be bias: Icewings are Ice Normal (or Ice Psychic) Mudwings are either Ground Rock or Ground Fighting, I couldn't decide Nightwings are Dark Psychic Rainwings are Fairy Poison (maybe Glory would be Fighting Poison though..) Sandwings are Poison Rock Seawings are Water Psychic Skywings are Fighting Flying (Peril though is Fire Fighting) Hivewings are Bug Poison or Bug Fighting depending on powers Leafwings of the Poisonwing side are Grass Fighting whilst Sapwings are Grass Normal Silkwings are Bug Fairy or Bug Fire if they are Flamesilky And for my own amusment: Beetlewings are Ghost Bugs
